Seriously Black ops 3 54.99 will be 39.99. Anyone who buys a brand new game (non special edition) at that RRP needs a slap, I have never paid for any game over £40, there is always a website or store that will do it for less than £40. So unless your rich or dont care about saving, then Argos is the place for you. £39, is not a deal either, the game came out you could get it for £29.99 in some places.
well the only thing I'm interested in 'the Braun Series 3 3080 Men's Electric Foil Shaver Wet/Dry' from amazon is actually listed right now as £61.95, not the £139.99 as on your list. Makes me wonder what elce is wrong

If you can afford it - the 5 series is so much better, in fact its that much better i'd say to save and buy the 5 series in a few months rather than get the 3 series just now - As for the 7 series - I've brought one a few months ago - it's not really any better a shaving than the 5 series.

Spot on, games have been RRP £40 for the last 8 or so years, maximum on the high street was £44.99 for early AAA PS2 releases.
£54.99 is the "catalogue" price. You can get any game you want at £40 or less if you avoid the terribly overpriced brands.

Black Friday brings out people's true colours. Someone will likely get hurt and they'll probably deserve it.
If you think retailers are selling you something cheap and as a favour to you oh so loyal customers you are deluded.
Try keeping an eye on prices year round for value instead of waiting for 1 day of the year where money-makers tell you it's cheap.

Thanks for the heads up. But some of the deals are already discounted to the suggested Black Friday proposed price anyway. Am not being negative to the poster he's done a great job, I just think the Black Friday deals are the biggest selling scam tactic to enable retailers to sell all the stuff early that doesn't do well and is over priced in the first place. Take the TVs for example, you can find cheaper deals on the same TVs most people look at how much discount to justify the deal. Most of these deals have never been at the RRP in the first place. Reminds me of those sh@&£t DFS deals

I think it’d be useful from the consumer point of view (and conversely, not at all from the shop point of view) if it were made clear that this is an opportunity to clear the shelves of last year / even older models of various technology items.
(…or worse, “special” encheapened models of technology items bought in to sell during sales).

Why not , Black Friday should be about deals.
At the moment you can get Xbox One + FIFA + STARWARS Battlefront + Rise of the Tomb Raider for £314.99 so if you take away the 2 games worth £40 each you are left with a decent price of £235 for a console and FIFA 16 and it's not BLACK FRIDAY yet..
So it perfectly makes sense to get a Xbox One + game for £199 on a Black Friday :-)

I smell a rat too. To be honest I don't think it is even worth looking at these 'pre-announced' deals until much closer to the time when it's easier to compare across retailers.
I think I'm going to look into price alert tools (never used before) on specific items or ranges of items I definitely want and not get suckered into buying random tat I'll never use.

I wouldn't believe those RRP prices.. Most of these goods are already much cheaper. Black Friday's discount is actually just a little margin, definitely not like £139.99, will be £39.99.

exactly. most of these goods are never sold at rrp during the year. the rrp is a mis-sale as every item on amazon will be sold at below rrp for 90% of the year. then on black friday, it will get a further reduction of maybe £5 and people look at the sale price compared to the rrp price and think they've got a bargain when all they have saved is £5.

But its only the Friday as its a holiday in America, most people are at work on the Friday so the busiest day was traditionally the last Saturday in November, the first day people were off work after the last payday before Christmas.
Black Friday in the UK has only been round 5 years or so.

Black Friday is a stupid idea in the UK.
It works in America because before Black Friday they are busy with Thanksgiving, so do not focus on Christmas shopping.
In the UK we are already shopping for Christmas gifts well before Thanksgiving so retailers trying to tempt us with Black Friday deals are delaying us spending for no advantageous reasons.

From wiki;
Meh is an interjection used as an expression of indifference or boredom. It may also mean "be it as it may".[1] It is often regarded as a verbal shrug of the shoulders. The use of the term "meh" shows that the speaker is apathetic, uninterested, or indifferent to the question or subject at hand. It is occasionally used as an adjective, meaning something is mediocre or unremarkable.

Tesco did well out of Black Friday 2014 with plenty of amazing deals on tech products – but they'll be opening their stores later in the day after chaotic scenes last year.

I wrote (what I thought) was a jokey reply to this message saying I will pay £199 for an Xbox so I replied saying I had a Crystal version (ie original Xbox) they could buy from me if they were willing to pay that and the Mods said I have to do the deal through the For Sale forum??!?!?
WTF!?!?

£54.99 is the "catalogue" price. You can get any game you want at £40 or less if you avoid the terribly overpriced brands.
They gave me 200pts to spend, and a voucher and extra points
Total £ 39.85
Shipping Fee £ 0.00
Voucher -£ 3.99
Points Spent -200 Points
(200 Points = £ 2.00)
Order Total £ 33.86
(VAT is included)
Points Earned +975 Points
So paid £33.86 for it and now have £9.75 in points sitting in my account to spend. So in true hduk style it cost me £24
There's the deceitful nature of Black Friday for you, that camera is currently available from Argos for £119.
If you think retailers are selling you something cheap and as a favour to you oh so loyal customers you are deluded.
Try keeping an eye on prices year round for value instead of waiting for 1 day of the year where money-makers tell you it's cheap.
Deals seem to be pretty vanilla to me, which is no bad thing as last year was a hateful time with all the documented violence and aggro.
(…or worse, “special” encheapened models of technology items bought in to sell during sales).
P.S. Do you (hear) read that Argos?!? *wink wink
It's currently £53.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, are we celebrating that now?
Who knows, something might take my eye
... Thanks for the heads up, id never have realised.
Hmm it's already that in Asda :/
isn't much of a deal to wait for black friday. Asda is doing the same deal now without the gift vouchers for £269 so its £30 cheaper and your not being limited to having to spend the £20 gift vouchers at Argos.

Are prices going up on black Friday this year?
Sorry....just an observation!
I think I'm going to look into price alert tools (never used before) on specific items or ranges of items I definitely want and not get suckered into buying random tat I'll never use.
.... that's what I'm telling myself anyway, but a bargain 55"+ HDMI2 4k TV might tempt me...
But i guess people who are not in HUKD will still run and grab one thinking its a bargain :P
Voted hot for the time spent to put all this together!
People asking about Apple. Last year they just gave gift cards here in uk a few years ago they did do money off. Hope they do that this year
There'd be uproar if we had white Monday. We can't even have a white Christmas anymore but the people of colour get to celebrate at least 1 friday per year.
Its just typical of this country.
Black Friday in the UK has only been round 5 years or so.
