Boardman Mountain Bike Comp HT 650B
The Boardman Mountain Bike Comp may be Boardman's entry level mountain bike, but it's not short on features and technology. With the latest wheel size standard to be introduced to the world of mountain bikes, this bike really is forward-thinking. The lightweight 7005 alloy frame with smooth welds, and excellent 120mm travel Suntour Raidon Air fork with lock out are combined with SRAM's workhorse X5 27 speed gearing to make this bike perfect for everything from family ride outs to all day off-road blasts.
Frame: Lightweight triple butted aluminum
Forks: Aluminium Suntour Radon fork (120mm travel) for improved suspension
Gears: SRAM X5 27 speed gearing for better performance and lighter weight
Brakes: Avid DB1 hydraulic disc brakes for more powerful and reliable stopping
Wheels: 27.5" Continental tyres for all-round performance on all terrains
This bike has been this price for a few weeks now. I bought one mid November when it was £449.99 straight up, then shortly after it went to £499.99 with 10% off at a weekend deal (I think around Black Friday time).
Now it seems like it's £499.99 with a special 10% off Boardman deal, to make it the same £449.99 price it's been for a while, so if you miss this Boardman deal, then don't worry because it will be £449.99 in some other way I expect...
The main issue with this kind of thing is getting the size you want. When I bought mine they had to get one shipped in which was the size I wanted, and as stock goes down, since they are clearing out, the sizes will be harder to get.

That's their usual game, its a bit dirty but they are not alone, just have to keep your eyes peeled to see when to bite as they do have some ACTUAL deals on sometimes

Check if you collect what u pay for. Halfords often build bikes from cheaper components. Without any notification about it in the bike's specification sheet. Typical examples are smaller break's disks or cheaper derailleur . Boy in store can't even found specification on Halfords webpage.

You would need your head testing for buying anything more than a £100 cheapo bike from Halfrauds.

Utter garbage. There are some really good bikes supported by some knowledgable bike enthusiasts at Halfords, I'm guessing that you are basing your opinion on either a bad experience or unfounded internet comments? I have had nothing but good experiences from my local branch and the bike I bought was well priced and roundly acclaimed by people who KNOW what they are talking about. I calling BS on your comment, I bet you're the sort who goes to Evans and buys a £3k bike on credit just to brag about how much better your bike is than everyone else and then rides it once.
To be straight, Halfords sell some cheap bikes, they are cheap for a reason, what do you expect? Similarly, they sell some "expensive" bikes. The actual service depends on the staff, up it's insulting of you to suggest that they are frauds.

Dry your eyes kid. I have bought a few bikes from Halfrauds, all have had different problems until I started taking them to Rutland Cycles to get fixed. Last two bikes from RC have been perfect. Don't need to buy on credit and don't be jealous of others if you are poor.
