What I have to do to use the supplied jack is .... Use the factory VW jack to raise the car as the halfords won't go under then I pop then the halfords one on blocks to raise it to get the stands under.
The jack isn't a little off with the stands either , it won't lift the car high enough even to get lowest stand settings. The jack is lacking I'd say a good 3" raise height just to meet the minimum of the stands and easy a foot to get to the highest on the stands.

Pile of rubbish !!!!!!
Jack won't lift car high enough to get the axel stands under, bits fall off the jack such as the plastic carry handle while your walking with it , that's your toes gone !!
I would recommend not buying this and getting a half decent jack that will raise the car more to use the stands for one. I bought this on one of these deals and regretted afterwards, halfords tools usually top shelf but this is a real let down.

this is usually around £36 ie: £40 and there is usually a 10% code available, i didnt even bother buying it at that as apparently the jack doesnt go very high

Their website is a bit stupid. At the bottom of the page it shows "recently viewed items" but doesn't update the price from when I viewed it... its still showing me looking at it when it was £40! (When I click the link it shows it at £50 pre-code)

This is a fair price the rrp is a bit OTT and often "reduced" to this price. Used successfully to do many jobs on my 2 ton Estima and its still going strong after 4 different cars later
