yup, had no problems with single player from day one, and online was fine while it had minor bugs that still didn't effect much of the experience, but have to admit there are a bunch of scripters messing around.

Thanks for that! I was toying with going for a physical disk just because the download is mammoth for this game (50-60gb?) and I have a 5mbps (max) broadband. All that was putting me off the DVD purchase was the thought of being unable to get the patches and updates, but if the game has to be registered through a online server, that fear is quashed. I will go ahead and buy the DVD version! Thanks again for your advice!

Dumbass question to ask, but I haven't bought a PC game in about 15 years that wasn't on steam. Steam constantly provide updates, which is brilliant when a buggy game like Rome II Total War came out (and for about 9 months afterwards). Will the PC game just be version 1.0? And how do you update a PC game which you've installed from DVDs? Given this game can be played over t'internet, its causing me some anx'.

I believe that you have to run GTA V through Rockstar Social Club, regardless of whether it is bought on DVD or through a digital code. This means that you'll get all the updates for GTA V (the installation process for both should be the same, but the download will come from your DVD instead of a Rockstar server). If you're still unsure about getting the DVD, CDKeys currently have a GTA V digital code (which you redeem on the Rockstar Social Club website, not Steam) for £24.99, which is reduced to £23.74 (same price as this deal) with the CDKeys Facebook Code.
Hope this helps  If you have any more questions, feel free to reply

Totally agree, the only game that comes close, maybe still better though was playing Little Big Planet with my kids.
GTA V particularly Online has been an absolute blast. The modding does get out of control at times but it's not a reason not to play.

Personally would advise avoiding this. It's fun for a bit, but GTA Online is full of hackers, is slow (you spend more time trying to get in a game than playing... genuinely), drops all the time. I also can't progress in the single players because of it crashing in exactly the same place every time.

Never had a problem with mine online on PC, GTA online on any platform will lag with hackers, you slowness in single player is totally down to your PC though.
