Cold. It's regularly this price at various stores. Currently Iceland, Tesco and Poundland have them for 2 for £1. Probably other stores too.
Fairly recently I believe they were 50p at Asda, but they increased it to either 97p each or 3 for £2. Stupid pricing; many people notice these things. They even had the gall to "do a Tesco" and make massive "97p" sign to put behind them. Easier to just do them for 50p instead.... *shrug*. Maybe this trick actually works for sales volume, as I presume they wouldn't do it otherwise.

Lol why would you only buy one tin? I don't think I've ever seen 99p each or 2 for £1 on anything. Seems illogical to price it like this.

The only 'real' custard is made by Birds, unless you want to spend hours making your own with eggs etc and then have everyone turn their nose up at it
