Can HUKD deals just wait till I get to a point in my day when I am ready to sit down and make a purchase, before expiring deals.. I have even tried to take BF off for this very reason.. :man:

Really odd how this worked out, I just changed USB Legacy to 'Auto' instead of 'Enabled' and the keyboard is working in the BIOS now. You'd think that having it set to 'Enabled' wouldn't cause any issues, just goes to show I guess! (EHCI Handoff is set to 'Disabled' too).
Just to confirm, my previous criticism of this keyboard is now invalid - it works fine in BIOS (finally I can throw out my other keyboards). :sunglasses:

Might be of interest that they also have the one with Cherry MX Red keys for £7.23 more. I've just changed my order as will be mainly gaming with it.
I'll double check later, as I said it works fine with many other USB keyboards (those cheap bare bones ones) it's just this one which struggles. Also I've heard that a setting called EHCI Handoff can cause issues so I might turn that off as well. Other than that the keyboard is great!

Sorry software and not working in BIOS... Am I missing something? Was getting tempted until I read those things.
I have been using an Osmium with Red switches for at least 2 years and its a very good keyboard only issues Ive had is the Macro key LEDs on mine failed (the Red switch was the first and only osmium for ages so may have been sorted) and if you put a phone near the logo on the keyboard (within a foot) the keyboard will switch off whenever your phone checks the network.
I should add I also have a coolermaster and Razer mechanical keyboard on other peoples machines in the house and the few problems of the Osmium is dwarfed by the never ending list of problems they both have.

I too own an Osmium (Cherry Red version with about 7-8 months of constant use) and I have not experienced the phone issue you mentioned. In fact I'm using my phone near the keyboard right now and there's no problem (also my reception is pretty on/off).
The only issue I have with the Cherry Red keyboard is that it doesn't work in the BIOS for me (UEFI, Asus H61), I don't know whether this Cherry Brown version suffers the same issue or not. The build quality is pretty good otherwise and the cables are thick and braided, installation was a peach and the macro software is OK (it's usable, macros work fine). Voted hot since I got it 'used' at this price, definitely a solid keyboard (bar the BIOS issue on the Cherry Red version).

I find brown the best, I actually have this keyboard, it's great. It's replaced a ducky Shine 3 as my daily board.

Red is good for gaming. Blue is good for gaming. Brown is good for gaming....
It doesn't matter - it's preference. What suits one person, doesn't work for someone else. I find red too squishy for gaming and prefer Cherry Blue or Razer Green. This doesn't mean they are 'better' - it means I prefer them.

Excellent value for a brown (my favourite) switch mechanical. RGB be better but we'll over double the price and I'm sure I'd get bored with constant changing colours. This will do for me. Thanks op.

Don't think you can change the colour. The reviews I've just read suggest it's blue only but can adjust the brightness. Each key has its own LED so it goes bright enough to be seen comfortably in daylight apparently.

Envious compared to the Corsair I got a few months ago for double that! The brushed aluminum on mine is always going to look better, but a good quality plastic is more my thing. A lot of keyboard for the money and I've always preferred the blue LED's :stuck_out_tongue:
