Would not go there called in once for a meal on the way back to the airport .

True, but to knock something without saying why is unhelpful as it doesn'y help other people decide if its for them. All from someone who hasn't bothered to post a deal in 4 years. Just getting a bit fed up with negativity of a small number of people on here.

Not a fan of Caleta either. Beach is ok ish but quite a few cheap bars and a fair share of chavs (sorry couldn't think of a better term). Corralejo is a bit further from the airport but nicer. Also I think Fuerteventura is a bit far for a weekend. Given that you will spend 8 hours in the air and at least 4 hours min at airports.

Yes, I agree, but pulling up on their lack of deals is a bit harsh, they weren't knocking the deal. I would like a bit more clarification on why it was poor, as well.

It's the vagueness though isn't it?
Bad accommodation, bad resort or a bad experience can ruin your holiday but doesn't mean its bad on the whole island. I enjoy both Caleta and Corralejo(up north) but they are very different.

In their defence, they aren't knocking the deal, just the location, which is more than appropriate in this thread.

If staying in Caleta de Fuste don't bother with transfers - it's much quicker/better to take a cab (well organised taxi rank just outside terminal) and its only about €13 +/- €1 to most accommodation there - sure beats waiting in a coach and multi drop offs.

The hotel comes up as a 2 star hotel ??

Love Fuerte, not so keen on Caleta de Fuste, but it is handy for the airport which matters on a short break...have heat

Good for smokers ( fags really cheap in Canaries ) I used to go there for 3 days to stock up on baccy, given up now. Still can't beat a bit of sunshine and longer days in December - heat added naturally
