Morrisons fresh salmon fillet is now £8kg (Was £14.97kg) - and they have plenty of stock
My local Morrison's fishmongers are very helpful. They will always cut a whole filleted salmon into 6 double portions, seal in 6 individual bags and put in a large bag with the whole salmon price attached
Or you can select from the already filleted portions available on the fish counter
Quote from Morrisons website:
"While you shop…
We’ll prepare any fish you choose, so whether you fancy a whole salmon or just a fillet, our expert fishmonger can help. We can supply your fish whole, filleted, steak, or as a butterfly or loin – take your pick."

We bow down to your Google expertise - although there's nothing wrong or unhealthy with farmed salmon
That's my expert opinion - having consumed the product during the last several years
RUBBISH! The Morrisons salmon is freshly cut and displayed on their chilled counters which is a much healthier option than any "Wild" salmon that's been sitting on the supermarket shelf for hours due to the exorbitant price
That's even if you believe all the "don't eat farmed salmon" crackpots who are paid to write their misinformed reviews
The latest Health Experts "crackpot" advice is not to boil and "fluff up" potatoes before you roast them because they pose a cancer risk
The greater danger is that you'll die young from the stress and worry of trying to follow the constantly changing health advice from highly paid idiots whose careers depend on the gullibility of the consumer and in most cases their "advice" should be completely ignored!
You "read about it" (not tasted it) - so you believed it to be the "rubbish"
You eat your expensively publicised "wild Alaskan salmon" once a week - and I'll continue to eat Morrisons farmed salmon more often - without the added cost incurred

Manchester fish market sells salmon bones for £1 a bag with lots of meat still on the bone even after filleting. Over a pound in weight in the bags maybe half a kilo.

Overpriced ! Whole salmon was £3.87 a kilo on offer at Easter!
Filleted salmon (without the head and tail weight) is always more expensive

"depleting wild salmon stocks" - unlike everything else caught in the sea ....?!!!!!

I don't think there's a real reason to eat wild over farmed. I bet people who do say only eat pole and line tuna for sustainability purposes too. Now they encourage depleting wild salmon stocks for no real reason.
Nothing wrong at all with farmed salmon, it's a cheap form of nutritious food. If you're privileged to be able to pay more feel free but I don't think it should be done under the guise of health and moral reasons. It's like the organic industry claiming they are safer, better and healthier than conventional food.

Been a while since I sold some wild salmon, but a quick check online confirms it still goes for 30-40gbp per kilo. That's 4-5 TIMES the price of this farmed salmon. You'd be surprised how many customers change their mind when the reality of this sinks in.

Huge difference in taste and texture between wild and farmed salmon, for me that's enough to put me off farmed salmon

Reccomended you only eat it once a week cos of the rubbish in it - put me right off it when I read about it. Will only buy the wild Alaskan from sainsbury as a treat these days, get my oily fish hit from cans (not from Japanese waters).

Thanks for the links that have re-affirmed my comments (Look at your linked reviews - they're all surmising)
I have carried out my own research on "farmed salmon" and imo it's completely safe
Try eating farmed salmon for a few years - with all of the health benefits - and then post an "informed" opinion
And don't believe all the reviews you read from sources that depend on consumer gullibility to keep their careers "afloat"
Please google for "farmed salmon" first ....tons of info, personally will never touch it again

You have a good fish monger then our morrisons doesn't care if you leave empty handed they won't touch fish that's on offer unless it's already filleted etc.

With this deal the whole salmon is already filleted
If they cut and portion your selected fish up it'll save them having to replenish their shelves with pre-cut salmon fillet packs and you'll have 6 freshly cut double portions for a pre-determined price

This is not about ethical factors, this is about your health... farmed salmon is simply not so nutritional or might be even hazardous for your health(spend 5 min reading those google results and you will know what I mean)... everbody's personal choice:)
