I bought one from Tk Maxx where it was reduced to 1 pound and in glass packing

Heavy on vinegar and salt. This on the other hand is like ketchup mixed with garlic powder (which leaves that nasty residual taste, rather than fresh garlic). I bought it once and quickly got disgusted with it. Might be good for BBQ, though

Or make your own with fresh chillies - cheaper, healthier and hotter. Better as well as it doesn't make my fries soggy.

Good deal .. but IMO the Rooster one is the one to get ... harder to find though and not sold in the main supermarket chains last I checked.

Me too love this product-after seeing all the E stuffs (preservatives etc) trying to avoid using it much..have a look at the E stuff before you buy again!!

Yup,my view too. I used to like Encona but this is way better, my humble anyway.

Got to agree with you there. I'm not a vinegar fan and this is better for adding a hit of heat to dishes than Tabasco or Econa. For burgers and hotdogs though, Maggi extra hot chill sauce beats everything else hands down.

Thats something very important to mention. I love chilli sauce but I stupidly bought this without reading that its a GARLIC chilli sauce. Ended up going in the bin as no one really likes Garlic in our house and thats all we could taste in this sauce. Currently using Phsycho Juice selection and that is amazing if you want a 'burn your mouth off' chilli sauce that actually tastes of something other than vinegar.

Fantastic sauce, goes with just about everything you'd want a little heat with. The red cap hotter one is just as good as the regular, and the gold cap with extra garlic is great with minced beef dishes.

This is a Thai chili sauce. It's got a different flavor compared to Caribbean chilli sauces. You can't compare the two directly.

Odd that, I would say the opposite. Many supermarket chilli sauces (Nandos and Encona) are heavy on the vinegar flavour. Don't find that with this, I just get a nice hit of chilli and garlic.

The best of the readily available chili sauces,lovely.

There are two types: one with a red top and one with green. The green is milder and tastes much better. Usually retails at £2.89 at my local cash and carry. This is a good price!

Picked up a couple bottles from Morrisons last week. Nice price too, around £1.50 I think.

Tasted bit different than usual, hotter maybe, and it gave me the runs for a week solid until I stopped using it. Didn't really think much of it until I was dossing around the kitchen and noticed..
