I wouldn't say this is a super hot deal (maybe cheapest in UK is about 500, so a saving of £25) but may be useful for someone (a warm deal?). Personally I like EVGA as a brand as I've heard good things about their warranty but I don't use NVIDIA cards.

It's well worth checking out what the warranty entails. A few days ago I ordered an Asus 980ti Matrix for £614.99 from Amazon. The price has gone back up since. I read the Matrix build quality supposed to be good. I was tempted to hold out 3 months for Pascal but every time I get a card on it's release date, I become a beta tester! I'd sooner a final product that's been refined. I have found that new cards rarely deliver a stable performance aside from in benchmarks!

The deal isn't bad, Heat added,
The warranty with EVGA is OK, the downside is paying the shipment to Germany should you have any problems with your device.
I went through x1 EVGA 980 ACX SC, x1 EVGA 980 ACX FTW, both were unstable. In the end sold the third as I didn't want the hassle of dealing with EVGA Support and paying shipment to Germany.

I thought EVGA cards were normally ok. Makes you wonder which manufacturers have UK based warranty returns?

I don't know what you are talking about. Did you read/look at the review you linked?
Take a look at the performance changes you linked! Take a look at the graphs!
I don't even know how to respond, you are delusional. You link graphs and pretend they do something else.
Let me repeat this: Ferrari has said, without question, that he believes NVIDIA are morally defunct because of their business practices. There is proof within his own words that he is biased.
If this sort of reply doesn't just just *scream* that you are unequipped to discuss the differences logically, I don't think anything can convince you otherwise.
Ferrari, thanks for keeping it interesting.
As for everyone else, Ferrari's posts speak for themselves, judge it as you will :-)

wow you really are a fanboy. I know so many Nvidia fans who have commended AMD for this driver.
Thanks for showing your true colours to everyone here.
I told you Crimson would make Fury X faster than the 980Ti at stock.
cough, Oh look, it now does.

If you are a serious gamer I would perhaps wait until AMD release Crimson shortly.
Lots of great new features. Fury series will be beating the 980Ti as it was always destined to do.
Please keep in mind Ferrari is morally opposed to NVIDIA's business practices and is not an unbiased resource on the matter.
There is no proof whatsoever that the new Crimson Drivers will do anything, let alone 'beat' the 980ti.
The history of AMD driver updates speaks for itself, they don't often release game changing drivers, there isn't a history of AMD drivers launching their cards ahead of the competition.
Crimson Drivers Software looks more like an answer to the Geforce NVIDIA Experience software, not some huge performance increases.
See for yourself. The biggest gain is 4% for GTA V, some games go down 1%.. But the average gain is about 2%. Nice, but it's 2%.
So, there you have it, this isn't a 'game changing' driver. Fury is not beating 980 ti, so you can rest assured, Ferrari was incorrect in his assumption that the Crimson Driver package would propel the destiny of the AMD Fury X.

check prices on pricespy, it might spot a retailer with a good price but it won't pick up on code deals/deal of the day/etc.
EVGA is about the best card to go for if you plan water cooling. You may change the heatsink/etc on the card without invalidating warranty. Quite a good feature for some.

Shouldn't make a difference. Mine is from Germany but after registration it is covered for 3 years.
The warranty is also transferable if you decide to sell it in a couple of years.

I got this card during Bespoke offers interesting strategy period (a couldn't say no price), great card. I've been playing everything at 4k/60hz pretty much maxed out (minus AA), games such as Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Far Cry 4, Battlefront beta, a really enjoyable experience all round. EVGA are also known for their after sale service so they are good choice.
