Aldi has several common varieties of potatoes, and nothing wrong with any of them. Asda has more varieties, among them the same ones as Asda, no better or worse as far as I'm concerned, but at a higher price. Some only care whether they are 'good chippers' but not me, because we never use them that way. Others will use them in different ways too. Choice of potatoes is personal, and depends on the use. What is 'nice' for some might be 'not nice' for others. There are around 80 varieties sold in the UK.

I tried to buy these in the Reading store yesterday. Unfortunately they are not honouring this price and said it was a mistake :disappointed: They took down the sign too!

Being as I boil, mash, roast, chip and bake my potatoes I try to get a variety that suites all these purposes and forget about the price. Potatoes are one product may not be a deal for me but this is a good deal if you can find them, but take them out of plastic bag ASAP.

This combined with their eggs and beans meanz egg chips and beans for two for less than a pound depending on your cooking costs.

If the OP pointed out which branch was then maybe they'd still have some, but for 59p? Most definitely sold out.

As Aldi and Lidl have day specific deals this may have finished, look in the brochure to see when it was available.
