Sorry I should have written it better. I got this deal through phoning them up not online. It wouldn't let me post unless I linked a url so I just put the EE shop in

Yeah the only similar deal at this price point I could see was with 3 who offer unlimited everything at £17 but their 4g connection in my area isn't that good

Did you phone them up? You have to be a little hard on them lol but they will definitely offer it and just be like you offered it to a friend of mine so why can't you offer it to me.

I had a similar one before it was 5gb at 10£ for 6 months and then 19£ but they said they no longer do that deal and they gave me the one I got now. My average data usage is just under 5gb too but you're deal is still good too

During an online chat with EE sales, I asked when my upgrade is due, I also asked if they would match GiffGaff's £20 GoodieBag and they gave me a matching deal but with the EE perks, such as double speed 4G connection, WiFi on the underground and visual voicemail.

Remember to send your bill (online through their website) and they pay directly into your bank-within 7 days in my case. Defo worth it for uploading 5 bills.

I might be tempted by this. I'm always put off by the cashback deals... I remember it used to be a right pain. Would you say the process is easy?
Do you know if you get 'EE double speed 4G'?

19 Nov 15#18
can any one help. I've been without a phone plan for nearly 4 months. so I'm abit out of touch with contracts and prices is this a good deal and would yous suggest I try and get it? I would really prefer a 30 day contract though do yous know of a good one to go with. thanks

19 Nov 151#19
4 GEE ?? yep. I get between 50-60meg in some areas.
Cashback deals have got a lot better in my experience. The old e2save, and onestopphoneshop, were notorious for being bad.
These are normal 4G but you can probably call cancellations after getting setup and get upgrade to double speed 4gee

"Free 0800 numbers"
I can get a free pay as you go sim and its free to call 0800 numbers i think you mean 084 and 087 and then thats only the access charge the service charge will still be paid

How can you bargain for double speed when you have just started a 12m contract with them?
Rich069
19 Nov 15#23
You dont need to go through redemptions.
As far as im aware, the 4gee came as standard. I didnt ask for it, it was all part of the 12 month contract (6gb)£22.99 (£23.99 now i think), then with £144 cashback- now £168.
kiish
19 Nov 15#24
Err because you have 14 days to cancel? This is what I was specifically told by billing on live chat to do, call cancellations on 150 once signed up
Not sure, it would state on your bill. Usually 4G is standard, Double Speed 4GEE and 4G+ are usually specified on bills if you have it.
I know mobilephonesdirect 4GB plan doesn't have double speed but if you went through EE direct they offer double speed in the plan hence the chance to haggle them.

19 Nov 15#25
Thanks for the tips, forgot about the 14 days clause. I guess it'll worth a try, and hope it doesnt void the cask back T&C.
Any idea if there could be any Black Friday deals on these sim only contract next week ?
kiish
19 Nov 15#26
Price should remain the same so make sure they don't give you the discounted plan if you do this which is £17.99
These cashback offers are quite heavily discounted after redemption so not sure if there will be SIMO offers like this. But if you sign up now you still would have time to switch if a good black friday offer comes along.
Go with BT mobile... Probably better deal even for none BT customers.... 20gb data, unlimited calls and SMS and free BT WiFi and BT sport for £25 a month with £63 quidco....£20 a month if on BT

or just browse ee business site. retentions offered me this deal:
£39.99 X 24 MONTHS = £959.76
FREE PHONE GALAXY S6 EDGE - WORTH £350.00 <<< SELL THAT ON EBAY FOR CASH.
£959.76 - £350.00 = £609.76 / 24 MONTHS = £25.40 FOR 20GB. FULL 20GB tethering. can anyone beat this?

19 Nov 15#28
Thanks. The cashback part looks very straightforward, much easier than the paper bills I did many years ago.
Just noticed that the original 4gb plan from EE is 17.99 but mobilephonedirect sells it as 19.99 with 144 in cash back. Maybe I'll go with the 6gb plan then.
Also just read the T&C, it seems to use the 14 days clause, I'll need to call mobilephonedirect instead of EE. Now I'm not sure the double speed 4G could be offered at all (better speed is something nice to have but not a deal breaker though).

I got the 6GB tariff from mobilephonesdirect and I didn't see any mention of the 4G type on the bill. When I phoned EE to found out what type of 4G tariff I had, the gentleman on the phone said I was on 4G+ tariff and would get that speed in certain area like London and at other times it would be double speed 4G depending on the location.

Last week retentions offered me unlimited calls/texts and 18GB/month on my sim only deal. I was going to take up the mobilephonesdirect offer so had asked for my PAC because to keep your number with EE, despite having a new contract with them, you have to leave and then come back onto the new contract because you can't move numbers between contracts (which seems madness!). Guy called me back within a few hours of requesting the PAC and offered me the above deal on the same money I was paying, £15.99/month.

you should be able to get up to 50% off on retention deals if you barter. I'm on unlimited text&voice with 10GB data and Spotify/now TV/Netflix for £16 on Vodafone. you could try bartering against EE with that.
