I bought the kids one of these from home bargains and they are good, lots of colours and dimmer & flash/fade functions with the remote, kids even had a little disco in their room  Id rather spend the extra at HB than take a chance on one from china that will arrive in about 6 weeks

My children love theirs. The 7w bright white light is easily bright enough

My experience with cheap-no-name LED bulbs has been dire. After 8 months 3 out of 4 bulbs have died and not a single standard CFL bulb has died in any of those sockets since the same amount of time. I opened up one of the bulbs and part of the circuit had actually completely burnt out and it smelt of burning.
I have no idea if that was potential fire hazard but for the sake of a few pounds I'll be buying branded bulbs in the future and not taking the risk.

500 lumens is not bright enough. It is equivalent to a 40W incandescent bulb.

I bought one from Asda for £8.99 recently. Its excellent and my little ones love making a little disco in their room.

Mine seems to be a little glitchy wrt dimming. There are intermediate stages between lowest and highest output but sometimes it just goes max to min and vice versa.

I found the white light to be very good and the bulb to be very easy to control form the remote. Only trouble is the remote control for my youview box triggers it from white to colour fade mode.

perfect for the bedroom so u don't have to get out of bed to turn the light off. it can also set a nice mood depending on what you want.

Bought 3 of these and worth every penny well pleased.Ideal for my little girls bedroom with the changing colour feature and great on power usage in think about 3.5 watts on the colours and 7 watts on the white.

I bought one a few weeks ago and am honestly impressed with it.
It is in a lamp in an alcove and when on white light it lights up just as well as my previous bulb.
When watching TV or listening to music the colours it emits are atmospheric and set the mood.
I recommended it to my friends so cant say better than that.
