First time posting on this site but thought this was one to share. I have been keeping an eye on this vacuum for a while and I noticed someone posted a deal for £259.99 from cost co but you need a membership. So I did some more research and I found this deal at John Lewis, I think it changed over night from £299.99 as this was the price I remember seeing yesterday.
Still haven't found an animal that likes being vacuumed and the RSPCA are starting to ask questions....

Please don't blame the product because you are using it wrong.
For cats: Hold upside down by the Tail and vacuum vigorously until Daz White. (May take a little longer for black cats)
I recommend using a good pair gloves.

Dont these last 6 mins?

They last twenty minutes in regular mode and six minutes on max power.
I've yet to run out of power in one vacuuming session.
For example I can vacuum the seats of my car on regular and do the floors on max. I don't do the seats on max because it's unnecessarily powerful.
I can vacuum my whole (admittedly not very big) house and have enough left to give the entrance hall an extra clean on full power.
Not in the UK, it does not. The wider, more powerful brush bar (direct-drive) is not provided with the V6 Animal in the UK, but is provided when purchasing from France or Germany. The Absolute model in the UK would have this.
The only difference in the UK between the V6 and the V6 Animal is the mini motorised brush provided, which can be bough separately for about £30. Therefore, the V6 from Argos at £190 would be a better buy.

The Dyson V6 absolute has a hard floor attachment, but the price is over £350, unless you buy from Amazon France or Amazon Germany where you can get it for about £250, the down side is Dyson don't honour the warranty in the UK.

The deal is for the Animal version, which comes with a small motorized brush, in addition to the standard floor motorised one.
The link you have provided is for the standard V6, that still comes with the floor motorised brush, but not the small one.
Therefore, the Animal version is a better deal (more attachments provided).
For people who don't need the small motorised brush, you can get the V6 Absolute (better improved floor motorised tool, HEPA post-motor filter) on Amazon.fr or Amazon.de for about the same price (£250), and it's a much better model. The small motorised tool (provided with "Animal" versions) can be purchased separately for about £35.
