He won't post a deal he's just interested in doing down aldi/lidl. Pops up now and then.

I have a JL spectrum and my Aldi DAB looks almost identical, different model to one listed. However there is a massive difference in sound quality and the screen. I suppose it's to be expected with a £20 price difference. I use the Aldi radio at work but it's pretty useless and DAB reception keeps cutting out.

which JL radio please? I've had a look on their website & cant find anything on there aesthetically close

Bought a DAB radio from Aldi before different model but same price. Sound quality is very poor, personally I would spend the extra on a John Lewis Spectrum DAB for £35.

Yeah DAB is a very bad implementation of digital radio.

Aldi are more a food store now - the 'special offers' aren't that special or cheaper than anywhere else.

Ideal solution for small shed, garden or workshop. DAB still has plenty merits, I wouldn't be without one in the car now (built in)

I've got an internet radio set up at home in the living room but want something for the bedroom and kitchen to listen to talk radio that isn't as harsh as my phone's speaker, so a cheap DAB+ effort would be fine. But something with the tinny quality of this rubbish isn't even fit for that purpose.

Probably better quality using internet radio on your phone.
