Thanks OP, heat added.
Just ordered a couple for £3.10 delivered using PayPal. How long do they usually take to arrive (2,3,4 weeks)?

still waiting 9 weeks for a delivery, they take ages to reply to any emails and only tend to refund as credit.

It's anyone's guess when stuff from GB arrives / doesn't. Read some reviews.

Correct, that is a crappy regular torch... way off the stated output "cold" rip off! goods not as advertised.

Anyone know of a decent torch about 2000 lumens.
Just on and off would be preferable to a switch that goes through flash and dim cycles ..sorry to thread bomb ..Just struggling to find a good one

Go onto budgetlightforum.com - a very wide range of extremely knowledgeable folk who will help you out. I imagine however that it would be vanishingly rare to get a flashlight of such massive output that would just be on/off though.

Would need a lithium battery in that to get 600 lumens, and then it would be 600 lumens for 1 min then dim quickly to a fraction of that. Nonsense claims, probably 100 lumen max.

Just so everyone knows the Q5 module that is in there can't even do 600lumens, it was around 180-200.
Look for ones with T6 Module, those can do 1000lumens even the cheap chinese ones.

Get this headlight, it runs off of 2x 18650 batteries and gives out insane amounts of light , and its actually damn useful as you don't need to hold it in hands. http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_23502.html

I bought two Cree UltraFire 2200 lumen torches from ebay last year - about £10 - they are much brighter than this type. They work off 18650 rechargeable lithium battery.

As he says, just get a cree T6 torch from ebay, ultrafire gets crap reviews but the torches are amazing, just avoid the ultrafire batteries. I've had mine a good few years, and the Mrs uses 2 ultraviolet ones for work.
Battery lasts about 20mins, but its like walking about with a personal moon, then you notice a slight fade, but still really really bright, will last about an hour then you need to swap or recharge battery, also if you really wanted to you can run off 3xaaa batteries I believe if you get the adapter.

Fallen out with them; ordered a phone then they said there was not stock and would not get any more (specific colour). I asked for a refund but several messages talking to myself has produced no results, so it's Paypal time tomorrow (£200 outstanding).
Pity as they have been very good previously.

A tiny AAA flashlight with great build quality and useful features such as a lanyard hole and ability to tail stand is the Hugsby XP-1, widely acknowledged to be streets ahead of these things. Single mode, no zoom. Simple. Available for as little as £2.34 delivered from Aliexpress. I've bought a few and they're very good ultra-budget flashlights.

Have to say I got a couple of T6's off ebay last year with 18650 batteries
They may not be 2000Lm but they are far far brighter than AA torches
get quite hot after a while but the batterys last quite well

Well I've got a torch that is brighter than the sun, runs off top secret military-spec batteries that last just under 5-years on full power and doesn't get hot. It only cost a quid, has a lifetime warranty and no more are being made, ever. It has a beautiful phallus-shape enabling me to stuff it down my trousers and feel like King Dong :sunglasses:
Oh I nearly forgot, it is also 4k, bluetooth, fibre enabled and secretes pheromones.

More chance of 600 lumens beaming out of my A-hole than out of this torch!

These are 100 lumen incase anyone needs to know, its ok for a little pocket torch I have a few, for a good powerful torch you need to be looking at a proper 300 lumen + Like an LED Lenser P7.2 this is my favorite for most night tasks and walks I had it from Amazon last black friday for £25 so keep a look out this week....Takes 4 normal AAA batteries too
