Are you seriously comparing a bit of regional banter to the endemic racism of the 70's?
My word, you really need to lighten up, chap...
And I'm from Manchester.

Is that price VAT. able??? As a footnote some years ago was on the way to court in Liverpool to have my licence taken away, and whilst I was there with my wife.....mt briefcase and new suit were pinched. The Police thought it hilarious.

As a Welshman if I had a quid for every time I've been told that I fornicate with sheep...
Still wondering how petrol saving turned into an argument about racism.

Strangely enough, if you call an Irish person 'paddy' or a scots person 'jock', you're unlikely to be branded a racist by the media and arrested by the thought police, so why have some recent arrivals to our shores been given more rights in law than the original population....... ? Seems guaranteed to cause bad feelings, which is possibly the desired long term aim of the real manipulators.

I think if you talk to Scots, Irish etc they're a bit fed up with being stereotyped as well......but it doesn't stop people doing it and thinking it's funny.
Sadly, there was such a fuss many years ago about thieving in Liverpool that the image will be around for years, so just get used to it like the rest of the UK's regions have to.

'Premium' - the fact it's that cheap it can surely but as good at least as standard bp

Sorry guys - any chance we could possibly get back on topic. This was a deal about cheap fuel remember. I've used Costco fuel a few times, they call it "Premium Fuel", not sure it's on a par like BP ultra etc, but to me it seems fine.

Can I recommend that anyone with preconceived ideas about Liverpool should pay a visit to Liverpool 1 for a day.
We don't mind a bit of banter and novel humour. It's the tired old repetitive Harry Enfield, eh eh clam down, thieving scouser 1980's jokes which make people look like idiots.

it is racism. Racism "can take the form of social actions, practices or beliefs, or political systems that consider different races to be ranked as inherently superior or inferior to each other, based on presumed shared inheritable traits, abilities, or qualities"
bilbob to hukd_addict
2 Nov 154#23
That definition can only be applied if we accept that Scousers are a different race.
Ok, I concede. It is racism.

It's not racism...its character building... As we are using definitions here is moron: A person who is considered foolish or stupid.

2 Nov 15#14
Strangely enough when people used the N word or the P word in the 70s and 80s and were pulled up about they used to say it was only a bit of banter and a laugh. It isn't funny and is pretty pathetic to be honest.
Iran called, they want their sense of humour back.

there's a lot of snobbery when it comes to buying petrol. the vast majority of it's the same stuff unless you're going for a different octane %.

Voted hot but why is it that whenever a price drop of 2-3% on fuel is posted it goes red hot, yet if this price drop was posted for anything else it would go freezing cold?!!!!!!
I've been using costco for diesel for over a year now, doing 14000 motorway miles a year with no more mpg than asda or tesco, but it's cheaper so I will still use it.
