As a home studio type, I thought Noctua were the be-all-end-all of quiet fans. They're not. I got some normal case fans and they were quieter than the Noctuas I had!

Noctua. I wouldn't dream of paying what they cost though, which is why I got these - good performace at a reasonable price. Wish I got them as cheap as OP did though...
