CONTINENTAL ULTRA GATORSKIN 700 X 25 BIKE TYRE
The Continental Ultra Gatorskin Bike Tyre is TOUGH. With a bead to bead Duraskin layer and aramid belt beneath the tread, these Bike Tyres can shrug off pretty much anything. Plenty of grip comes from the softer compound, even in the wet. This makes the tyre perfect for winter training and even Audax routes.
Strap these on and go chew the miles up.

most people will purchase two. you can get some tyres in two packs, but then some people do things like put a wider tyre on the back and thinner tyre on the front, so that could be one reason they are sold seperately.
its most common they come seperately though.

Not sure if I could make it, as I am in the city.

Ah, well I only reserved one (in Putney) so guess I'll have to head down to New Malden to get another which I reserved.
So that leaves me with one extra reservation which I don't need. If you happen to be anywhere near Wandsworth I could grab the other one for you.

Most of them might have, these are puncture resistant, that might be the selling point. I wish if I was around New Malden I could have collected your reservation.

I don't understand what use is it to sell it individually? £18 is quite expensive, and to only know you're getting one?!
So did everyone purchase two then?

I don't think they come in pair. Its the price for a single tyre. I missed the deal, need some new tyres.

These come in pair's right for £18? i.e. both front & rear.
Also what's the difference between these? the non-ultra one's LINK - went into store and was offered these in 23s but wanted 25s so said I'd wait for my order to come in and get the ultra instead. Was told that the non-ultra one were better? is this true?
Just wondering if they'll be suitable for my friends bike. It's a Hybrid but more leaning towards a mountain bike. thanks

they will not be the same, one will be a folding tyre, the other will be a wired tyre.
personally i prefer folding, little bit lighter and much easier to get on and off. im not sure of th ebenefits of a wired tyre... probably is one, but not that id know of
edit: quick google apparently the benefit of wired tyres is they get seated better, e.g. less chance to trap the tube under it when mounting... not sure id bother though, especially when folding is £5 cheaper... my experience was getting my old wired tyres on an off was a massive pain in the butt

Ah... My bike is 700 x 28, how would 25 fit? as someone said it would above (sorry new to this stuff)

Depends on your rim width. Some (not likely) rims won't allow these because they are too wide.

Wire bead are quite weighty in my opinion. Just doesn't feel as nice I think to accelerate but that is hardly relevant in winter.
Folding bead would be much better though in winter as I find them easier to remove and put on which is quite important in winter since your fingers are likely to be quite cold and numb so you will struggle with tires!

Continental? Nuff said.
Fantastic tyres; I've used them all and there isn't a lot between them? I've got these on now but the 4 Seasons/4000S's are also top notch! I think I'd probably use the Gator's all year round if I had too?

Title misleading. I wanted a couple but voted cold. The 23mm is showing as £25.20 not £18.00 which is considerably more expensive than Wiggle etc.
I've managed 5,000 miles out of one of thesein the past. Great tyre

Got these on my commuter, they seem to have softer rubber and a better ride than some of the other high puncture resistance tyres like the Schwalbe Durano/Plus, I've not had them long enough yet though to comment on their durability. Hot from me.
