Gearbest and Yodel delivery. Good luck with that.

I have one of these - dual boot - I have stuck with the Windows 10 boot which works pretty well but nice to have the Android option as well.
This is one of the lightest 8" devices out there which is also a bonus for usability. Construction seems OK for the price. Not found anything I expected it to run that it couldn't so happy to recommend.

Beware Gearbest. Don't supply the goods and offer a credit note instead of a refund. Not good.

The cube is a lower screen res (1280x800 vs 1920x1200) and slightly smaller battery (3300mah vs 4000mah)
I'd personally pay the £7 more.

I like the option, but would prefer Android as the main OS.
If it has a dual screen non mirrored Windows mode then I would also consider it as a PC replacement for occasional non tablet use.

Would have been good with Android. No one wants Windows on a tablet.

Anyone know if dual screen non mirrored mode works with this?

Great deal not sure about the website though, I just added the discount code and instead of taking 10% off it added 10%.

Unfortunately that's standard for these sites, essentially almost everything is "on sale" all the time so adding a voucher takes the value off the non-discounted price not the price advertised. However, I have used Gearbest before and they've been fine every time for me, do make sure you use a tracked delivery method though.

bought this one, its not great: battery life is LOW, charging is slow, when watching anything whilst its plugged in, the speaker is acceptable but headphones create a rhythmic buzz which is worrying. OTOH the screen is great and it came with a screen protector which was nice.
all in all you very much get what you pay for here (the non pro version, but i rather imagine the new one will have similar issues). its good for a £60 tablet.

That's the old version with the BayTrail chipset, no usb3 or hdmi out.
(and it's not all about clock speeds)
Really tempted by this one, anybody had dealings with this company?

Don't forget you could be hit with import tax if it doesn't come from an EU warehouse!
Oh and also, you're better off selecting € over £ on that site, because you might save a few quid doing so. (The € isn't strong and you can save a little on paypal/your bank exchange rate)

Can anyone with these comment on the WiFi signal quality? I have the Hi8 and it's brilliant apart from the weak WiFi signal, I struggle to hold the signal in my office (where everything else will hold it just fine) and from the a couple of rooms away at home.

The older version, the Hi8, was dual boot. Maybe this will eventually. Not many dual-boot Cherry Trail devices due to problems with android on them supposedly.

A risk, but very small at £62 + the roulette import tax.
At least it is 2GB RAM.
Is it still dual Android/Windows or is it pure WinBloat? Reports hadit a better, safer Android/PC dual OS.
