Great film. In SD, but this is possibly the best Chromecast deal to date.

Thank you to users like Straycat1967 in the other thread for reminding me that the credit still applies to wuaki deals. Went to have a look on the off-chance, instant buy!

Set ours up Friday, showed 4 offers but not the £20 (even though the box clearly has the £20 offer sticker on the outside).

I'd give it a bit longer. Mine wasn't there at first but about 24-36 hours later it was there, have heard in some cases it can take up to a week. Not sure why it takes a while but my first guess would be to deter people from buying the box just for the credit then returning it for a refund.....

Thanks, pleased to say it did come through after about 24 hours, just seems to take some time to process / activate, perhaps it's some kind of security thing to deter people from just getting the box for the £20 credit and returning the box....

Got to say, firestick is a much sweeter system, finding the Chromecast a bit messy. Anyway, got it installed, connected to my phone and can play stuff. Login to Wuaki and can see my free copy of rouge nation, but can't seem to find my play credit, and the chome PC app can't find my chromecast... any ideas?

I just received mine today, via royal mail 48 hrs.

I emailed on 14th asking for status update, then they sent reply on 15th: We have just checked our system and your order have not been despatch just yet.
We are waiting for our Logistic Department to give us and update about the despatch day
We will get back to you with the information, please do not hesitate to contact us for any further question or doubts

and they sent a dispatch notice on 16th: "Our provider informed us that your Chromecast was dispatched on 16/Dec/2015" and it finally arrived today (18th). Overall good communication, but slow delivery.

£20 play credit showed up and redeemed okay after refreshing a few times via https://cast.google.com/chromecast/offers/

I set mine up today but I'm not seeing the £20 at all neither on the device's own app from my phone nor via that link either. Have hit refresh several times too.

Everything else is there including 2 months now tv movie pass, three months spotify, 3 months play music and a movie rental. Though unfortunately most if not all of them offers will be useless to me as I alreday have a ongoing movies pass, just took up a spotify trial and have used play music before so the new offer won't activate. :disappointed:

Can see another email to wuaki being necessary though I doubt they have much control over it since the £20 is a google offer rather than anything specific to wuaki....

Funnily enough it just came in today's post. It was delivered by Royal Mail 48, basically the business equivalent of basic 2nd class so yep the cheapest option. Presumably untracked as I didn't have to sign anything for it either but it's here so I'm happy enough, so long as it works of course....

There is also a sticker on the front (of the actual Chromecasts box) about the £20 credit so no worries there.

Mine was only sent on 16th too despite ordering on 24th and being assured it would be dispatched on the 7th! The only explanation, lack of stock, as if they didn't think selling a Chromecast 2, movie and £20 play credit would not be successful.

Utterly awful company, just excuse after excuse, wouldn't touch them but for the fact they are the only way to get a cheap Chromecast unfortunately....

I'll be lucky to get it by Christmas at this rate, especialy since it will be on the cheapest, slowest, untracked service going, if Royal Mail had a 3rd class they would be using it......

I was hoping the Now TV offer would just be a code like what you get on the cards that come with the boxes? Does it have to activate directly into a specific Now TV account?

Set up my Chromecast no problems initially however every time I turn my TV back on my device fails to cast any content to it, chromecast appears to be connected to my network along with my device but it just fails to cast, only way to get it to work again is to factory reset the chromecast, have had to do this twice already! never had this issue with chromecast 1

Yeah it works on anything (digital at least not physical products) on the Play store. I remember the £15 I had on the old V1 Chromecast said movies too but actually worked on anything. Think Google just want to push their overpriced movies and rightly assume that most people will just take what it says on the offer page as fact and not try it on anything else.....

Yup, the promotional credit can be applied up to 15th Jan.

In fairness, Wuaki didn't advertise the £20 credit deal. That was me highlighting that. But where you would have a right to make a fuss is if Wuaki fail to deliver within the advertised range, and you could rightly point out that you expected to be able to take advantage of google's deal.

When I ordered at the beginning, it said 4-7 working days. Here we all are, waiting since the 24th :/

I reckon it'll arrive by the end of this week for most of us (on the basis of a Friday dispatch). I want to watch Jessica Jones on the telly already!

I emailed to ask on Friday and they got back to me almost immediately (probably because I contacted them in working hours) to tell me they would post the box out to me on Monday and that delivery was 7-10 working days. To be expected but still disappointingly slow, will be incredibly annoyed if I miss the £20 play credit offer because of their sluggish response. In fact if I do i'll be going back to them for the £20 as, as far as I'm concerned that too is part of the offer....

Got mine Weds (ordered within an hour or so of the deal being posted). Just tried to redeem the offer on an android tablet and nothing added to my account. Tried it on the computer and redeeming worked fine. Just thought I would mention it in case anyone else has the same problem....

I had a similar offer with Chromecast 1 using same account so I can confirm you will also get the credit with chromecast 2 even if you already have chromecast 1.

Have you set it up and then 'casted' it to a device. Then search for chromecast offers and there should be a page of offers which will include the play credit. Click on this, log into your play account and the credit will be deposited there.

One thing I noticed with Chromecast V1 is when casting videos from youtube app it stutters & freezes for the first few seconds before it settles down and plays fine, has this been fixed with the new chromecast?

The issue I had with the V1 was that it'd stutter but then also I'd lose the 'cast' icon from whatever app I was using which meant I lost complete control! Vids would carry on playing without me being to stop it!

My few mins using the V2 seems to have sorted that. Maybe it's just a stronger wifi connection with the newer one.

Got mine today too - set it all up and it actually works! The V1 model was not very good in terms of staying on my wifi network - constant drop outs, freezing while playing stuff. It was one floor below the router but phones, etc, are all ok.

Took a chance that this new one would resolve that with the 5Ghz wifi, etc. And, early days, but it does! Played music via google music app on my phone, plus a few YT vids - all flawless.

Still interferes with my freeview signal on the TV (it's an old Panasonic plasma),but an HDMI extension sorts that out.

Plus trading in the V1 to CEX and the new credit, etc, means I've upgraded and am up on the deal (sort of)! :smile:

That sounds really good, does anyone know if having owned a version 1 chromecast in the past affects eligibility for any of that? As I know I got a number of offers through that including £15 play credit, now TV entertainment and a play music trial, which annoyingly I couldn't even use as I'd had a trial in the past.

Basically, I am wondering will the Chromecast 'see' I have owned a Chromecast in the past (no longer have it) and restrict my available offers?

I suppose I could create a second Play account specifically for the Chromecast, but I don't really want to as I much prefer having all my content in one place....

guys chill, several months ago I purchased a cc from wuaki. I only received the the one email which was an invoice for the movie no mention of cc. 9 days later I received the item from a 3rd party logistics distributor. I think theseare shipped from overseas.

Not being funny, but don't hold your breath. I've had a couple off Wuaki now, and they both took about a month to come.

Even then I had to chase, and I got the feeling from their replies that they'd been forgotten both times. Very apologetic, we'll get this out as soon as possible etc.

My experience with the V1 Chromecast on a (much) earlier version of this offer was about 21 days and I very much doubt it will be any faster this time, especially with the added pressure this time of year puts on the post/couriers. Kind of daft that a UK company that (should) already have them in stock needs so long but for a freebie no one is likely to complain....

I've gotten into the habit with any kind of special offer or deal of taking screenshots of the confirmation screen (print screen key) then paste (ctrl&V) into any imaging program, even paint, and save. Instant proof of what you were offered. Of course you need to be using a computer rather than mobile (though I'm sure there is a way on there too).

Usually not strictly necessary as you generally get email confirmation too but handy in cases where no confirmation is received or ones like this where the email is vague or missing information about what you actually ordered.

You can do, but you'd have to hunt around for a way to mirror the screen, it's not like airplay for apple tv. You could us Air Parrot 2 which I've used the free trial of and it worked amazingly well and I will be buying it once my chrome cast arrives

I've had confirmation of the film and have read above that the CC is a 'free gift', so I'm not worried about that, but I'm wondering, since there has been no mention of the google Play credit, that I should have done it differently? Hope the v2 (with the 5Ghz wifi) will solve that.

I have a question though - In my confirmation e-mail it just says I've purchased Mission Impossible for £19.99 but there's no mention of the Chromecast. Is this normal? It's not in my orders either, I guess we need to trust them... You get the £20 credit by going to the get offers page after hooking up your chromecast and signing in to your computer - you need to use chrome with the cast addon for this to work I believe.

Used TCB but it appears to have only tracked the 0.10p for signing up and not the £1.05 for making a purchase - bummer.

The only significant different between v2 and v1 of the chromecast for me is the 5ghz band capabilities in v2 - this is important for me as it works much better in my flat than the regular 2.4ghz band so with that in mind I just sold my v1 to cex for £14 and bought a v2 for £20 with hopefully TCB, a free movie to watch and £20 of play store credit.

Annoyingly I have already used the £20 offer on the last chromecast I bought so I don't think it'll work again. If it does great, if not I'll have to use a different google account for the credits I guess.

I've put my order in though I am fully expecting them to cancel it as did they last time I ordered a Wuaki Chromecast deal as I had a Chromecast off them before. Though that was a good few years ago so I don't see why I shouldn't get this, especially as it's technically not even the same model chromecast either.

Used a different email but they are sure to see the address (and CC) is the same so they will probably cancel it. :disappointed:

Anyone know if you can cast the BT sport app from an iPhone 4 to this via wifi and get full screen? Only asking because suddenly my apple TV only outputs sound and no video when streaming live footy. I don't know if its a BT update or block they have put on to stop airplay but having major issues atm, it used to work fine a few months ago!

Not 100% on Iphone but I can cast BT Sports from my Android Phone to a full screen no problem. If you download the chromecast app the 1st page should give you a list of the apps you currently have that are available to cast.
