Christmas Crackers are currently half price at Waitrose (both on-line and in-store, but my local store had a wider selection). From £5-£40 down to £2.50-£20.
They seem to do this every year. It's perhaps a little early, but they only do this for a couple of days when they first put them on the shelves.

Yep. Christmas crackers are never worth their full RRP.
I'd suggest you buy one of the £2.50 boxes, and hope you get some of these from Santa.

Debenhams do this, 50% off crackers and then put in the small print the date they were full price last couple of years it's been in June, that great time for buying Crackers :disappointed:

Why do they put them half price BEFORE Christmas, surely like Christmas decorations they should reduce after Christmas?

It is because they charge double the price they really want to sell them for (as above, in June, when they are not even on shelves) then give you 50% off to make you feel like you are getting £40 worth of stuff for £20.
