Booked! thanks! €804 for 7 days from 26th august all in. Premium 3 bed cottage. Free location choice - actual cottage picked from the map. 3 free activities still to book!
This is much cheaper than i paid last year for 4 days!

Next time check the european sites as they are usually even cheaper (for example centerparcs.be is 762 euro) others may be even less .be .fr .de .nl

We got a gite for one night, cost us £36 and was absolutely gorgeous, could have happily stayed there for a week! The fuel was cheap, European breakdown cover cost us an extra £3 for the whole year, a European motoring kit was £12.99 from b&m and yes the ferry was about £100 return but that just adds to the fun of going on holiday. I would highly recommend the European parcs as I'd said previously and think off all the cheap goodies you can bring back .

That's ok. We had a VIP cottage as well. They provided bread rolls every morning - you just have to remember to put the bag out for them - and there were enough to do us lunch as well. You don't get an oven, just a hob and a microwave but with a bit of planning it's still possible to cook if you want to.
The park isn't as big as Sherwood Forest here in the UK and the "cottages" tend to be in terraces so you don't get that feeling of being by yourself in a forest like they try and do here but you do have your own bit of garden. The indoor swimming pool also isn't as big but you get some free activities - the free "toppings" that they offer.
We went to Amsterdam for the day, I think it took about an hour to drive there, so it felt a bit more like a holiday than just going up the road (which Sherwood Forest is for us). All in all we thought it was good value compared to going to Centre Parcs in this country in school holidays

Been to lots of center parcs in Europe but went to this particular one end of August this year. We paid £230 Monday-Friday for 4 of us. The accommodation was a house and was perfect only downside was there is no oven. The park was brilliant, loads of activities although a little expensive but the water park was excellent, great variety of slides for all ages and the staff are very laid back in the pool and at all the activities

Difficult to tell from the website but is the water park / 'aqua speed' stuff an additional cost or included for everyone that is staying on site ?
AdamBrunt
9 Nov 15#45
Agree with that - we have been Duinrell a few times (first time we went during an October half term - the park was practically empty but all the rides at the onsite 'theme park' were open so no queuing) and love it

Nonsense.
If you actually challenge the "fine for taking kids out school" ruling then you'll find that the High Court agrees that, as it currently stands, the law is unenforceable as it just states that children must attend school 'regularly' but doesn't define what it means by regularly. There was a case all over the media the over week; a parent said the school's own stats showed his child had a 95+% which the parent argued was 'regurly', the High Court agreed and the case was thrown out.

Eindhoven to Vossemeren is about 45 mins in Taxi, Kempervennen is about 30 mins. Between the two is about 25 mins. Taxis are expensive. we pre booked and paid just short of £100 return (about the same as hiring a small car fro the airport) but I was on holiday and didnt want the hassle of driving. It was a breeze to get there. Travelled up to manchester the night before and stayed in prem inn for £29. Flight time is 1 hr and taxi was waiting for us. Arrived fresh and stress free. Stayed in VIP cottage, worth paying extra as better accomodation and get free breakfast rolls everyday, WIFI, bedding etc included. Just took hand luggage didnt so journey was even easier. Let me know any questions you have

If people want to get the price reduced in the UK Centre Parcs then stop booking with them. Been to Sherwood Forest and it's nothing special really. in fact it's expensive considering most activities cost extra.

Depending where you live in the UK, you will probably need a hotel night stop before arrival. You will need european travel insurance, european breakdown. Calais is a 300 mile round trip to the one mentioned, return ferry is around £100. We have done it before, priced it up this year at the one near Disney, and didn't fancy all the driving, plus I was put off by the reviews. UK Centre Parcs prices have shot up in recent years, I remember having annual holidays there paying £249 for some weekends, sometimes going twice in a year.

We did vossemeren this summer and was great for us family of 4 with kids 8 and 6. very affordable and great kids activities. Took Manchester to Eindhoven with ryanair was about £40 each return! then taxi to resort. You can go to kempervennan for free, so if you want to try both you can (only 20 mins away)

We've been to some of the ones in Belgium and Holland each October half term for the last 5 years. We make a yearly trip out of it for my sons birthday and they're way cheaper than the UK ones. Even after you take into account an overnight stay in a Premier Inn in Ashford, the cost of a ferry crossing (Dover to Dunkirk) and the cost of fuel (we travel from Bristol)
They're all priced in euros, but we've Sussed out way to save a bit extra. We booked ours 2weeks before going this year, and by booking on the Belgian site, for a park in Holland (De Kempervennen) we got it 120!Euro cheaper than booking on the UK part of the site. Yes the language of the site will be different but they're all laid out the same. We paid by PayPal, so no worries about using a country specific credit card, we even put all our invoicing details in and no problems.
We paid 549 euros for 7 nights in a premium 3bed place that sleeps 6,
Can highly recommend DeKempervennen, they've got an indoor ski centre attached to the side of the site and got both my son and wife lessons there this year. There were loads of Brits this year compared to previously so people are catching on to the fact this is a cheaper option.
