maybe these deals are traps to get you to visit the store? I went inti a Tesco looking for some cut price baked Beans and ended up buying 24 bottles of krug, 400 Cuban cigars, 5 kilos of truffles and 20 kilos of free range Organic Scotch salmon . Total Cost £5678
and 5p for the bag , I did however pick up a reduced price Egg and Cress sandwich for 59p so I am chuffed

Love dry roasted peanuts and this is very good value, IF, they really are that price and you ignore the fact that these ones really do not taste good at all!!!!

strangely bags of peanuts always say on the packet may contain nuts!

Why don't you buy lots and then return them as they may contain nuts and you hadn't realised! You could do the same thing for milk that is labelled as containing milk !

You'd thing they'd assume that knowing Nuts contains Nuts wouldn't be rocket science, huh?, hmmmmmmm, hahahaha. :-)

I assume because they're processed/packed on lines used for nuts, which peanuts aren't. They're legumes.
