That's in the shade.
When you stand in the Sun in the Canaries - it's very hot.
As hot as you'd expect for being 60 miles off the coast of Western Sahara.

Caleta de Fuste , the Morecambe of Fuerteventura. Built as a tourist resort with sweet FA to do but drink and sunbath but should suit the Benidorm or Magaluf crowd ..

Welcome to HUKD....I know what you mean about Fuste, but it is handy for the airport and if you are short of cash the trip the OP has designed is a fantastic way to escape some of the winter. Maybe this is your chance to post your first deal....a classier holiday for the same money? I think you'll struggle!

But 4/5 on TA is TERRIBLE. Is impossible to give Zero, just like on Amazon, so there you go that's one right of the bat just for turning up. Any large hotel these days has someone allocated to minimising online reputation damage and harvesting 5 star reviews from favourable customers. In percentage terms 4/5 is a ranking of 80%, and yet it's not really in this case, because they got 20% (one star) just for turning up.

The scores starting from 0 or 1 makes much less a difference than you think.

I would guess you think they have 60% score as they got that 20% for free, well that is wrong, the real analogue would be scores from 0-4 at which they would rank 3/4 giving them 75%, so they actually got 5% extra for free (making a lot of not entirely unreasonable assumptions here).

That said, people rarely bother to leave average reviews so for the sake of the argument we will assume everyone gave them either 1 or 5, this makes it that 3/4 people liked it, let us assign 1 of those to the hotel people harvesting good reviews that leaves you 2/3 which in my opinion for 83£ a week even not including flights is an absolutely unbelievable bargain.

Stayed here whilst visiting friends, Caleta isn't what it used to be, but for a cheap holiday its fine.
