I've found the refills to be quite expensive to the point that it's usually cheaper to buy another plug with refills included rather than buy the refills on there own. Saying that I've not been able to find anyone selling the refills for about 2 years.
The plug is also useful as it can be used as a normal night light if you take the refill tablet out.
You can get the refills at boots but I agree they cost a fortune x

Definitely stock up on refills if you ever come across them... they're often like gold dust and cost a bomb!
We've had ours a few years now and find it useful for colds and congestion, but where coughs are concerned find our warm steam vaporiser much more effective.

I only just found these , thought they were new but obviously they have been around for a while lol
If you can stock up at a good price for winter it is worth doing I reckon , hate seeing little man all stuffed up with a cold but we have to be prepared for the winter sniffles I suppose and if this helps soothe them it is worth a try :smile:

Our son is plagued with coughs and we were recommended a humidifier got one of these it's been used for about 8 years and even now it still does the job where we found these sort of things didn't help. Takes water so no refill, can put some olbas oil in when he is really bad. Definitely worth the money, you will both get sleep :smiley:
I will definitely be printing the voucher for tomorrow thanks OP. Two nights with this plug in 2 months ago and my little ones cough was better. The night light is blue and gives out enough light to find a dummy in the cot during the night. Her original night light is quite bright and we have moved that into the landing instead. The inserts last 8 hours so remember to switch off when not in use. :smiley:

Anything which helps lo's with their cough and cold symptoms is great , it's the main thing I hate about winter apart from the cold and rain etc but I do use Sambucol which usually helps ward off colds but not this time
So it's staying in the warm with chicken soup for lunch tomorrow and lots of fluids , the humidifyers look good as they don't get hot as I can't use anything which uses hot water even up on a shelf he can get to it and I can't take that risk with him as he has special needs and doesn't understand danger , so simple gadgets like this may help , plus I wonder if those porcelein ones you hook onto the radiators would help at all with a bit of menthol or ucalyptus or the olbas oil in them with the water , you can get 'fake' olbas in the pound shops and it's not too bad , just a different brand

Just a tip. For around the same or less than the price of this you can buy beeswax and oils to make your own vapo rub. There's recipes all over the net. I have never looked back. There's no night light of course but a nice wee back and foot massage with it has worked miracles on my 2 when poorly
You know exactly what's in it, takes 5 minutes to make and you avoid petroleum!
Also honey really is nature's little miracle when it comes to taming a cough. I use raw organic tropical honey but squeezy supermarket stuff will work too!
Note that bubbies aren't allowed honey til they're how ever many months old though
