Just had an MSE email stating 50,000 free seats on all routes from 12th Jan to 14th Feb and it says that if you can't find your dates you want try again as the seats are issued daily not all at once.

Well lets face it the NHS does basic training and care, if you want superior healthcare either way the NHS was not providing it 20 years ago nor today.
£21.49 will buy you a one way Easyjet ticket to Amsterdam to a connection of host countries with superior care without you training in healthcare or needing a lawyer to make a complaint where they all close rank on you.

That is understandable. Although at least now they will have to pay off their £9000 per year tuition fees. Which contributes at least a bit.

I'm not racist.
What ****** me of is when this country trains our future doctors and once they fully qualify they move abroad and work there.
An old friend of mine trained in kings college and within a month of qualifying he moved to America and is still there 20 years later and has contributed zero to this country.

Yeah this trip by bus is **** horrendous.
You then get dumped on the outskirts of town and have to get a tram into central. The bus would fluctuate from boiling hot and reaking of sweat, to freezing cold.
Barely stops and when it does its at some god awful service stop.
It also takes **** forever. It really is one of the worst trips ive ever done and ive done 15hours on a bus in Cambodia or overnights on buses in India.

One thing about avoiding ferry crossing, the airplane is no different as long as alcohol is aloud on board. Why do these companies (air or sea) have to sell alcohol to be consumed, cause of most problems and ruin the journey for others
I was thinking of the same thing.

Having gone to Amsterdam from London twice via coach, 3 times via driving, at least 10 times via flying, I do NOT recommend going via coach.
Pay £50-£100 extra and get a return flight from Heathrow...so much more comfortable. Unless you are really really broke and just wanna spend your money getting high..then do it.

I don't recommend it in the Winter though, did it a few years ago, nearly died.
Edit... My trip...(London To Amsterdam about Jan 2011 I think)
Got on the coach in London Victoria, at about 10pm (Friday Night, another nono)I think, coach was packed full, with a group of about 8 drunken students who were clearly drinking more booze out of "carrier bags" and were being rather obnoxious and loud. Put my idea of reading a fair bit of a book to one side for a few hours.
I bagged what I thought would be a good seat, at the back corner, unfortunately the emergncy exit part of the back window seemed to have poor sealing and a cold January draft began to blow over my thighs and arms.
(I had not noticed this till the packed bus had begun moving, and by then all seats were gone).
We were going on the Ferry Crossing (avoid if you have the choice), now because of the bad weather, there had been, at least, one other ferry cancelled that night, and after being delayed somewhat at Customs we embarked our ferry about 2am, only to find it was absolutely jammed. Seriously almost inhumane, I managed to find a spot to lean my bum on for the hour or so it took, but others were just grouped on the floor, etc.
It was full of drunks, Hen and Stag Groups, Students, Fancy Dress folk, etc. I saw people spewing up, running to the packed loos too late, etc.
Seriously, nasty. The choppy sea didn't help. I hadn't drunk but felt sick too.
I was hoping to relax after my unpleasant coach journey, maybe catch a snooze, but no way. Probably one of the worst hours of my life, like a vision of hell.
Anyhow, then we boarded our coach again and my body started to crash to sleep. I had been in my draughty seat again, but I somehow did fall asleep cramped up in the corner.
I woke up with frozen hands and legs, shivering, sick. Still, almost there now and only a couple of how's late.
Then when we did arrive in Amsterdam, the whole coach was dumped off at what seemed a fairly non description bus (or tram ?) stop, with nothing else around except a shelter for about ten people. There were about fifty of us ( or whatever the coach held).
So about forty of us were shivering our collective bollies off (people were going blueish) for about fifteen minutes waiting for the bus (or tram ?) To take us into town.
I have never felt SO cold in all my life, and I was dressed okay for it.
Anyhow, eventually I got off in by Amsterdam Station, and made straight for McDonalds and had about three coffees (and apple pies) trying to waarm my body back up.
We were also about three hours late. It took me about an hour to feel okay again.
Not a good experience at all.
I have done it also in the summer, and its not so bad, but in the Winter I would never do again.
Remember also, that money you save on the fare is good, but over at least twelve hours travelling you are probably going to spend a few quid out of hunger, boredom, or in my case, survival.
