After browsing broadspeed following the Lexus deal, came across this incredible price for a brand new Jeep Renegade small SUV. Comparable to a Mini Countryman or Skoda Yeti, a brand new model released for 2015!
I personally like the look of this, and the interior looks good. Has good reviews and noted for its rugged styling and off-road capability.
These start from £14000 on Autotrader for a 1 year old used!
How can it be noted for its off road capability when its 2WD ?

Anything can go off-road once - or is it a reference to time spent in the workshop?

The model the OP stated is 2WD but they do have 4WD versions obviously not at this price though.

I know full well Jeep do 4WD's...... but this deal isn't for one of their 4WD's, so saying noted for its off road capability is meaningless BS.

Maybe, just maybe, if you keep it forever. In the real world any reduction will be lost many times over on the residual because no one will want it unless you're giving it away! Still, Jeep (and a few others) rely on ignorance to stay in business.

Saw one on the road the other day, had the build quality of an 80's Skoda. Panel fit was all over the place. Looked dreadful.
It will look great in my garage next to my Cactus and Juke then :smirk:

Not bad, parents are looking for a replacement for their b max - this old codger friendly? I quite like the look of it, but then I have a citroen cactus so what do I know.

Do you dislike your parents that much?
The Cactus may be ugly but it has 100 times more merit than this.
This easily wins ugliest current car on the road award, I thought the Nissan Juke and Citroen Cactus were bad but this is as ugly as the depreciation will be.

Yes, they had to re-badge it after the original fell off whist ramming it into a brick wall for styling purposes!

Wouldn't normally bother to make a comment but I rented a Jeep 4WD in the US last month for 2 weeks, drove 1,000 miles and was very, very happy to hand it back - it was awful.
The front seats have a hard frame to them and that makes getting in and out a pain in the ar*e, literally. My wife said the same about getting in and out on her side of the car and she's 5 feet 9 to my 6 feet 2. Another problem in the front is that there really isn't enough clearance under the bottom of the housing round the steering column and that makes it a struggle getting in and out.
A serious problem is that, although there is seating for 5, there is luggage space for 2; yes just 2 medium cases and a couple of cabin bags. Heaven help anyone who decides they want to take their family away, they'd have to rent a trailer!!
This may be considered a deal money-wise but I wouldn't buy one for half this money.

I actually like the look of this in certain colours. I have also sat in one and the build quality isn't as bad as some are making out. In my opinion they were just too expensive when they were first released for what they are, especially the high spec 4x4 versions.
