Good saving off a very popular Audi model so thought I would post, usually struggle to get discounts off the TT models at dealerships due to popularity.
Very good reviews, and comes with the new 12.3" virtual cockpit system.
New model released in 2015. 1 year old used equivalents on autotrader are from £25000!

Or a savvy person who buys an unaffected car with a heavy discount due to fickle buyers
judging all the models equally, and then forgetting it all in 12 months and the cars being in heavy demand again?

Nope, you can get a full set of badges for £7.99 on eBay
It's a brave person who buys a new VAG car amidst all the emissions cheating going on.

I don't think your average person cares beyond what they pay at the pump and road tax. The problem is if they don't meet regulations and have to be modified so they do at the expense of performance and economy it's not the car you thought you were purchasing and it will hurt resale value.
As well as the NOx which affected the diesels there's talk of CO2 from petrol and diesel also being cheated on. The thing is I don't know if it affects cars which are still on sale or not. Volkswagen having been that forthcoming on what is and isn't affected.

I wouldnt say this particular model claims to be fuel efficient nor will people be buying it to worry about that.

I can't believe there is even an issue... No-one ever buys a diesel car due to its emissions figures only for more MPG. Now all of a sudden its a travesty to the world because the black smog that pours out of diesels is bad for the world... everyone knew that using their eyes in the first place but didn't want to get an equivalent petrol.

Don't think they will do near £10k of list price. What they will do is shift load of cars via the lease companies as good deals now and the deprecation will slow and prices will become firm in a couple of years when this scandal has blown over. Now will be a good time to lease a vw or buy if you are willing to take the risk hoping that the residual will firm in a couple of years.

Where did you get your sales data from? Or are you thinking of the share price?
Car Magazine explainer article shows an October slump of near 10% for the UK, but sales are actually 7% higher for the year so far. :man:
More likely to have an impact on UK sale price is the Euro FX rate.
Nice car, even though this is entry level 180bhp engine its top speed is up around 150mph - hence the Sports, great price. Voted Hot

Don't go there! TT is a woman's car, as is the Merc SLK. An R8 is a powerful car for the modern successful man:{ Even though I saw a Chinese woman peddling one in the City couple days ago, she was probably an Athlete.

You need an sline the sports wheels look wrong the trim is not nice it comes with lots more extras. Ive the previous tts black edition and just got the new tts on test and its a way better car. Way more horespower but it feels a lot more nimble, good feedback and the interior has moved on leaps and bounds. Its still a lot of car for the 1.8 standard sport but its a better looking car in minimum sline as its stance etc on bigger wheels. Its a good car though.

In my opinion yes. I had the 60 plate TT s line and you had a more sporty front bumper/grille, led lights, nice leather interior with s line stitching, interior trim upgrades etc. Adds extra to resale value too. If you can afford it, do it, if not, non of it is 'essential'. Just aesthetics really.

Have the engines in this line of cars been cleared of emissions cheating software yet? Last report I heard was Volkswagon pre-emptively announcing after they were caught for the TDI cheating software that even their petrol engines may also be affected.
