I've been keeping my eye on these for a few weeks now. Found it for a great price of €159 on Amazon.de.
They also have the white ones for a little bit more at €169.

I have the Anker one and it's brilliant. Doesn't have loudspeaker/handsfree feature, but the sound quality is excellent. You won't be disappointed

I bought this yesterday for €169 (I've asked CS for a €10 refund), which when postage is added came to £127 (I got a rate of 1.399), s do I reckon this is now about £119, or £50 less than in the Bose shop.

Hello how did the refund work? when I looked at it, it says it is sold for 169 euros. which at the final check out comes to £133.15. How do I bring the price down?

Be warned, the made in Malaysia or China ones are visibility worse quality and sound worse. When I found this out I will only buy in a store where I can insure I get the made in Mexico stock. Also this 2nd generation one did away with the removable battery which was a massive disappointment.

With the Soundlink Mini 1 you could remove and replace the battery which means you could use it forever, Google it.

Bought a soundlink II from John Lewis 2 months ago and the unit became faulty and wouldn't power on properly. Bose told John Lewis to do a straight swap and I was given a new one nice and easy. Now sure how much hassle it would have been of I have bought it from Amazon.de abroad and needed to send it back.

it wouldn't do if everyone's opinions were the same, but I find it hard to believe people can criticise this speaker as tacky....as stated,I have this, and the quality is excellent.
I would have to question what people want when listening to music,if they regard this as a poor speaker.unless it is to brag about how much more their speaker costs them.

I'm not questioning Amazon.co.uk's service - it's second to none as i've experienced on multiple occasions. I'm just curious what happens with returns when you order from amazon france, germany or spain. Do they give you a free return postage to send it back abroad?

I bought one from Amazon Spain last week, I'm over the moon with it, excellent piece of kit and built like a tank, also got a cover and rubber sleeve for £20 from Amazon UK.

Thanks OP just ordered 3 for the kids Christmas presents, so that's them sorted. I couldn't work out why but somewhere along the line in the ordering process the cost went from 159.90 to 161.24 Euro each. Still a good price compared to UK. It does appear to be postage as that was 7.70 Euro & separately listed. Any ideas?

Just contacted Amazon.de regarding the price difference & they say it is due to the VAT difference between the two countries 19% German & 20% UK. As the goods were going to the UK they charge the UK rate. Hence the slight increase. Hope this helps someone.

The Bose SoundLink Mini II still doesn't support aptX – the higher-quality codec than the Bluetooth standard SBC whilst the £40 Anker speaker does!
My order was showing not dispatched yet after 5 days of ordering & supposedly being delivered tomorrow. Amazon.de have replied to my enquiry saying that they are out of stock due to high demand but are expecting stock soon. Just in case anyone else is waiting delivery you maybe in the same situation.

Mine arrived yesterday.
Also made in Malaysia.Read a few scary reports on the Malasian built ones, but apparently the "newer" Malasian ones, with the bar code sticker..the one I was sent....are ok.
As stated in my earlier post,I bought one in America, that was made in Mexico, and it's excellent.
So I bought this one for my daughter,as part of her xmas box.Obviously can't open it to see,or hear if it's as good as my Mexican built one.But I am sure it will be fine....worked out at £117.87 after rate conversion,so good price.

I received a "made in Malaysia" one. Very disappointed really. The finish is awful, my initial thought was that i had received a fake. I was going to return but amazon will only refund 8.00eur shipping but it will cost me around £25.

Your post worried me enough to open my daughters xmas present,as I don't want to get to xmas day,and then compare, and everyone feel let down.
Anyway,I've opened it,and it looks the same quality, the buttons are rubberised, and the finish looks ok.Mine is the silver colour, and I got my daughter the carbon colour,so it's harder to tell, but it's seems to be the same quality...I know it's wrong to open it up,but now I've done that,I may as well charge it,and see if the sound quality is the same...ill tell her xmas day why it was opened.

I feel bad about that mate, at least you know its a decent quality one.
My main gripe was the fact the rubber seal on the grill was uneven and coming off slightly at one end, (i have done my best push it back into shape). Anyway seems i was just unlucky.
On a positive note it sounds excellent! so looks like I'll be keeping it (I dont fancy losing £20).
for those interested I also have the Anker A3143011 - Great for the money, unbelievable build quality and has decent sound, but the bose sounds a good bit better to me.

No need to feel bad..better safe than sorry. If it had been a bit dodgy there would have nothing I could have done about it on xmas day,and I would have felt awful about it.
As it is,it looks fine, and sounds the same as mine that I bought in the states.
Boxed up again, and put away for xmas.
