Ok, Ive got a £iver offer im my account.
Im planning to add a SD card to my phone, here is what I've done:
TCB -> MyMemory 4.2% cashback
Purcahsed a Sandisk 32GB Ultra Micro SD for £10.95
That already tracked at £0.45.
If all goes to the plan I will get a card for £10.95 - £0.45 - £5 == £5.50!
And that is including delivery! Not a bad deal, is it? :sunglasses:

I'd prefer it if they just paid me the quid they owe me from a previous purchase rather than hoping to attract more custom by these type of promotions.
Do they not realise the bad feeling they create when they refuse cashback, despite compelling evidence that they should pay it (and hiding behind data protection as to why they feel they shouldn't)?
Quidco in future for me...
At least with quidco they really do try to resolve issues, and when the matter is over piddly amounts, they often pay out of their own pocket as a quickj & easy resolution and to preserve goodwill.

I strongly disagree. I've been waiting for a transaction to become payable on Quidco since December 2014. Every time I've queried it they just say I have to wait.
Apart from the odd manual claim on TCB I've always had it pay out very quickly.
I avoid Quidco completely now.

This really annoys me too. When you know you had opened a new incognito tab, logged into TCB and completed the purchase via the TCB link, the merchant is still able to decline the transaction by stating it was tracked elsewhere.
When you query who it was tracked to they would say they cannot tell you because of data protection. So you purchase something and some person/company benefits by saying they referred you, but they're unable to tell you who it is that supposedly referred you!
Unbelievable and this also primarily happens when the cashback is greater than £10.

Had issues with TCB and quidco. Didn't bother me so much when the majority were tracking now. Had many that don't track so need to remember to raise claim then after months some tin pot excuse and the data protection rubbish. Indeed I used an Ebay voucher sent to me by Ebay. I used numerous vouchers (official or unofficial) on different retailers in the past without any tracking issue so I do not believe it should be a problem this time. The problem might be that I paid a few small items on the same bill adding up to £12 after the deduction of discount. It is defo over £10 spending. But TCB only tracked on of the paid items. I had emailed their CS and now waiting for a response.

Just a bit update from me. I gave up the first transaction as I paid the Ebay bill as a combined total and TCB did not track the whole bill. Anyway, instead of asking TCB to rectify it I placed another order for a bill of £12 on the 6th Nov. This time, it worked. The £10 bonus showed up on 12th Nov. While the actual tracked cash back itself (only £0.17 who bothers) can only be cashed until 4 weeks later, the £10 bonus status is PAYABLE. It came quicker than I thought.

Now, I did a bit of digging and TCB are not fully regulated by the FCA but they are a "Appointed representative - introducer" (with reference number: 476080). This mean "This is a firm that can introduce customers to another firm or members of the firms group, and/or give out certain kinds of marketing material. It must be a representative of a firm authorised by the FCA or PRA, or regulated in the EEA."
I would think they have to follow FCA rules which would include Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and the term above stating "Your purchase amount should be £10 or more." does not define net or gross reporting amounts/transactions. Because you bought at £10, you paid at £10 and that is your face figure. Their transaction amount was less but this isn't factored into the promotion's T&C's.
They may try and weasel their way out of it but, as it stands, the terms of the promotion on the face of it and how they rejected it are unfair. You can not sub-term something either without directly referencing it in the promotion terms. The 6 main terms of TCF are:
Outcome 1: Consumers can be confident that they are dealing with firms where the fair treatment of customers is central to the corporate culture.
Outcome 2: Products and services marketed and sold in the retail market are designed to meet the needs of identified consumer groups and are targeted accordingly.
Outcome 3: Consumers are provided with clear information and are kept appropriately informed before, during and after the point of sale.
Outcome 4: Where consumers receive advice, the advice is suitable and takes account of their circumstances.
Outcome 5: Consumers are provided with products that perform as firms have led them to expect, and the associated service is of an acceptable standard and as they have been led to expect.
Outcome 6: Consumers do not face unreasonable post-sale barriers imposed by firms to change product, switch provider, submit a claim or make a complaint.
FCA would look at it from a point of view that this business is a lead to companies they represent and for it to be poorly advertised/misleading things in the manner they have, they wouldn't be impressed. I'm also sure the OFT wouldn't like it either.
Let's see where it gets me.

Raise a ticket. I've been told they have 'technical problems', presumably meaning they're holding on to the cash for as long as possible. A week ago, they said 2 -3 days. Now they're saying keep looking at your account, so I tried staring at it for a while, but nothing happened. :disappointed:

Sorry to those having problems. I'm in the same boat but with quidco....both pathetic.

Same here, one month's gone and no bonus in still. I wonder how many of us have already given up - maybe that's what TCB were hoping for. Does a technical issue need ages to resolve?

I hope the below works (can't view it on work PC):
I am now going to proceed with withdrawing all of my money from TCB. Having to threaten them with FCA reports is never great!
Nationwide is next on my list.

Got paid into the account fine today. I also see QuidCo are offering £10 again to selected accounts, taken them up myself this time on that offer and made a purchase I was going to make anyway. Tracked straightaway, I'll be interested to see if they drag their heels this time too!

I got my £10 bonus in today, finally. I did have to raise a ticket, chased them 6 times, and waited for over a month to get it.

Im planning to add a SD card to my phone, here is what I've done:
TCB -> MyMemory 4.2% cashback
Purcahsed a Sandisk 32GB Ultra Micro SD for £10.95
That already tracked at £0.45.
If all goes to the plan I will get a card for £10.95 - £0.45 - £5 == £5.50!
And that is including delivery! Not a bad deal, is it? :sunglasses:

EDIT: looks like via email.
Gunna use it on steam credit me thinks.
Apart from the odd manual claim on TCB I've always had it pay out very quickly.
I avoid Quidco completely now.
How do i check the minimum spend for the offer?
I've made over 700 pounds in the last 4 years so probably don't fit that criteria.

Worse now I am paying for the service and have to work so hard to even make the subscription fee back. Had over a grand back but only £35 in this year.
Ah, yes.
It's funded by all the cashback claims they declined, but then secretly trousered.
Makes a lot more sense now :wink:
:man:
Heat from me. :smiley:
*Please don't ban me benevolent overlords!
Quidco everytime for me
Also are Quidco and hotukdeals still owned by the same person?
Interesting that some folk think Quidco is better. I've had £500 paid out in 12 months from TCB. I started using Quidco on 1 July this year and haven't received a penny yet!
Nice offer, rated high for others!
I used Nectar points on an eBay purchase I made through TCB and wasn't tracked.
I purchased something for £11.50 from a retailer and my bonus is not showing
It has been tracked no probs. The bonus indicator changed a color to amber.
Yesterday TCB have sent me an email saying I've got Cashback in my account.
I can confirm, the bonus indicator is now green, and payable although MyMemory cash back is still due in four weeks.
should have just stuck with Quidco
good on you for making a few quid though.... mines building up slowly :smiley:
