absolute rubbish i bought onre of these in the summer .Couldnt hear the music for the horrible buzz which was continually there

its same cheap reciever you can get from ebay, its has alot of interferences with music.

i bought one on ebay for a bit more - useless.
you have to more or less have the thing hanging out of the socket for it to get the music coz if you plug it securely in - it doesnt work
also the volume needs to be on full blast on everything for it to play at a decent level

Does anyone know of a way to play sound through Aux and have speakerphone microphone in use on Android phone? I'd consider one of these but really this is all I need to do.
Not sure if it has a built in mic or uses your phone, I think the former. There is a button to answer an incoming call, and you can hold that button in to initiate the voice control of your phone. Has play/next/previous buttons for audio too.
There is a newer version for an extra £5 that allows multiple devices to be connected without pairing, apparently.

I second your comment. Have had the Kinevo in my Mondeo for well over a year now, pairs straight away when I get in to the car and the connection is rock solid. It does have it's own mic which I have found to be very sensitive. Plays music from the phone without fuss, and the quality is very good. Even Spotify streams sound good.
The only issue, if you can call it that, is that you have to manually switch your car audio to AUX mode whenever you make or receive calls, as the Kinevo plugs into the AUX in socket. It won't say cut your radio or CD and swtich to the call automatically, for that you need a pretty expensive solution from Parrot or similar.

I have an Avantree product that does this, is very good. Seems like this one is crap.
Is there any similar tool that can be used if your car does not have aux input and only has a CD player?

Yes a fm receiver but as said you do get interference.

Anything similar that is more suited for a home stereo that people recommend? I see plenty out there like this one but would prefer a recommendation. Would be nice if it charged off a USB port at the same time or even just needed the USB input on my stereo for both the sound and power rather than using a USB and a stereo jack plug connection. I have a Denon DM39 that has both USB and jack plug connection on the front.

I am interested in this also. I want bluetooth rather than patch so multiple devices can send music to the stereo (PC, phones, tablets)

Hi, i looked for the same thing a few months back for my Denon M38 and the answer I got was "probably not" about such a device ,apparently the USB port on the Denon does not work like that, but you can now get "Chromecast Audio" which plugs into the back of your hifi ..........
I already have a Chromecast on my tv and that is then connected to my M38 aux ports, sound quality is ace, and can stream form phone, lappy or Tablet.............
Why if it plugs into your aux port wouldn't you just plug your device into the aux and save battery not using Bluetooth ?

I'll probably keep the single optical port for my TV. For people who have the newer DM40 there are two optical ports so they have more choice.
But as you say I can use the 3.5mm or RCA jacks - thank you !

To be honest I don't use the hands-free on it any more as I realised I can pair my phone with the Kinivo for music and the car for calls :smiley: The car has a screen, phone book and interrupts any activity to make/receive calls, so it's much better for me. But yeah you are right, you would have to run from AUX all the time or have your phone on vibrate in your pocket and switch on the fly :smiley: Not bad at all for £30 though!

Would work great on the M39 as you have optical input but also works with 3.5mm or RCA jacks https://www.google.co.uk/chromecast/speakers/
