Had these for years. So cheap you should buy two - I use them for long distance with one on in towns and both in unlighted areas. Also backup in case one goes flat. Actually on really long rides I carry a spare loaded 3xAAA barrel 'cos I like to backup my backup.
I use re-chargeables (why are they a hassle?). eneloop are very good. You can get bigger capacity but these don't leak power if not used for sometime. Important if you don't get round to using your backups very often.

Meh, AAA battery lights can do one. Why can't more of these types of lights take AA? If you use rechargeable its a huge hassle.
Sure, don't last as long but should be carrying a spare battery anyway.

I bought one of these last year and for the price its the brightest bike light I have owned. 3 modes, really bright, less bright and flashy bright! Have had complaints from dog walkers that's it too bright for their dogs.....another good reason to buy one!!

Oh a hint - if you leave the bracket on the bars without the torch - make sure you tighten the holder really tight or you will lose the thumbscrew. I've done it twice so be warned. You don't want to have to buy the whole lot again because of a lost screw!

My charger charges in pairs only, when it breaks down I'll order one that charges singles.
Tempted but I'll pass, I have a cree light and same holder which cost less than this that takes 1 AA, have no issues and still going strong.

There is £2.99 shipping to pay on that however so it works out more expensive. Unless you are going to buy something else anyway or multiple items.
Just had mine delivered, can't say i'd exactly recommend it. It's bright but it focusses all of that brightness into a tiny area, which means that from certain angles it will dazzle other road users and from all others it'll barely stand out at all. Still may be alright for being seen, but pretty useless for riding on unlit roads. There are much better lights/torches out there for a similar price.

Have to agree not that impressed, tried it tonight and when it was in flashing mode it suddenly changed to a solid light when i went over a pot hole, very annoying. This happened a few times over 2 miles. :disappointed:
