BCS was not as good as BB but I still found it great to watch. Those of you who liked BB but gave up on BCS I implore you to at least watch episode 6, "Five-O". Most of the episode is a flashback to Mike Ehrmantraut's history, and it is up there with the best of the Breaking Bad episodes

I was really impressed with the series overall - how they integrated it with Breaking Bad, but also how they developed the character far beyond the comedy caricature that he was in that series. I never imagined it would be as good as it turned out to be, and I can't wait for the second series.

i thought the very first scene in this was genius as it leaves the door wide open for them to re-enter the breaking bad timeline in the present day as well as the past.

Yep, completely agree. I think it became obvious quite quickly that Walt and Jessie weren't really needed either. I'm sure Gilligan will work them in somehow, but he's always said it would have to make sense to the story first and foremost and I think that's absolutely the right way to do it.

As much as I love Breaking bad I was eager to watch this programme, the first episode I liked, but after that I stopped watching it as I felt it got boring by number 3.

Really want to check out this series but I'm thinking this will be like the True Detective release. £30+ on pre-order and will be £15 soon after.

Sorry but anyone that votes this hot it out of their head. just short of £27 for a single season of a series that in my opinion was slow, boring and unfunny. I was a lover of breaking bad aswell and couldn't wait to see it to begin with.

*Spoiler*
Oh well i disagree. I couldn't stop laughing at the scene with the 2 skateboarders, where saul negotiates with the gangster to break their legs instead of killing them, LOL! Absolutely hilarious.
If you have a "simple" mind maybe this isn't for you. It makes you think, and doesn't point things out for the stupid people, which i like.

Rememeber folks, we are voting on the price not how good the series is...

So you would buy a boxed set of test card videos as long as it was cheaper than this?
Of course how good/bad people think a product is affects their assessment of a price for that product.
Personally I think more than about 20p is a rip-off for the content of a TV series episode which makes this worth about 2 quid plus the cost of a blu-ray, packaging, and delivery.

What a ridiculous thing to say. How good the series is has a lot to do with how hot a deal it is otherwise tony hawks for £20 compared to £40 for GTA would be one of the best deals there is. utterly ridiculous

Why pay for this when you can get 4 and a half month's Netflix for this price (not including the 1 month free trial)?!?

glad you can point that out. even if i loved it i wouldn't pay £27 for a single season of anything, especially 10 episodes..

I watched it through a second time to see if I had maybe been tough but It just was too slow paced. My points about it being a ridiculous price for a single season stands no matter what!

Yeh you're better off getting a netflix sub as others have said. It's a nice tertiary item to say the least, certainly for an avid BB fan but that's a rough amount for 10 episodes.

Yeah, well i wouldn't disagree with the price being expensive. I rather watch it on netflix, but some prefer DVD, so if this is the cheapest i'm not going to knock it. Plus you can re-sell the DVD when you've watched it. So they coudl watch it at their own pace, re-sell it and be less expensive then netflix.

The episode which focuses on Mike is quite possibly the best episode of this and breaking bad put together. Great show!

If you want to rate the series, go on IMDb or amazon and do it.
On here, you vote hot if someone posts a deal lower than the RRP or usual selling price.
It's really quite simple...
10111010101011
4 Nov 15#38
not entirely true. The rrp could be highly inflated thus it would still be a rubbish deal.
No, I think it's a lot more complicated than that. Quality is a big factor in how you weigh the value of something - I think it's perfectly fair to make your opinion of a series a factor in whether you see a deal as hot or not.
welshman10
5 Nov 15#41
I don't see it as being complicated. If someone posts a deal for something that is cheaper than usual it gets voted hot, if not then vote it cold.
Heat is only determined by the number of voters, therefore you can only vote based on price.
If there were differing scores of heat that could be applied, then you could vote hot for the deal, but extra heat because the product is also good.
That's how I do it, if others use the voting system differently then it's their entitlement to do as they see fit.

Very expensive for one season of a very dull show where almost nothing happens.
I'm a huge breaking bad fan and I'm sure this has been hyped and heated purely because of its link to the other far far superior show.
