A quick google search and there are some recipes (bbc, Jamie oliver etc).. using whisky , cream and condensed milk... sounds like a great idea if you have some whisky at home anyway..should try it out !!

Not sure but the stuff you can get in LIDL for £4 is very good and worth a try if you like Baileys!

ohh yes, you will need: whiskey, vanilla extract, coffee, Devon dream (or condensed milk). can't remember the quantities but I used Coleraine whisky and it was fab... I'm away off to make some!!

Tesco is price matching every branded item? Anyone knew this
rockchick90 to Viswa
29 Oct 15#35
Isn't that only if you buy 10 different comparable items? I don't like tesco so don't tend to shop there...
thedvdmonster to Viswa
29 Oct 152#37
The way tesco are doing it is quite sly to avoid paying out on every shop.
You need to buy 10+ branded items to get the money off.
Hopefully a glitch pops up sooner or later that canes their new money grabbing method.
yes well whats Baileys 20% , basically one is paying for volume, thats the main cost in alcohol , baileys is the strength of a port , i have no idea how they make Baileys but lets say you mix 500 ml of Scotch £7.50 on special with 500 ml of cream then you will get a baileysesque concoction , i cant see any saving for a tenner but its an interesting concept, has anybody tried home made Baileys ?

Have some humble pie, maybe even be an adult & apologise to the O.P.? IT'S 100 % GENUINE, I've just ordered some as of this OP's posting. A simple click on the link is verification of proof & would have saved your rant, which smacks of jealousy on your part ! HEAT ADDED.
p.s. An O.P. Doesn't necessarily have to purchase or take a picture showing the offer for it to be legitimate, it's not a rule ! :stuck_out_tongue:

It wouldn't curdle, but it would seperate. It would need to homogenised together, which is how Cream Liqueur is made. Also worth noting that although there is some whisky in Baileys, it's not made with all of the alcohol content from Whisky (it would be too expensive and taste unbelievably strong in whisky) It is mainly made with Neutral Alcohol (basically a cheap Vodka).

Red price tags are for stuff that they put off an aisle, most of it is generally promotion stuff, they will have put out stacks of Bailey's ready for tomorrow's promotion. Yellow tags generally indicate an offer or price drop.

Just looked online at Asda for this. Gone past midnight now and still showing as £18.50. I think someone has this wrong with the £10 for 3 days.
Not at 3am it says £10 even after the bull the on line team told me, it's there! Hot now given!, well just have to see if I get the ones I ordered on click and collect last night.
Confirmed in Llandudno! On the big end-of-aisle display, it's still showing as £18.50, but on the "normal" shelf the price is £10.00 (just a normal white shelf-edge sticker though - there's nothing to draw attention to it.).
