If I had kids and a family this would be the sort of thing I'd go for! It's not your Tenerife or Majorca holiday but I think this looks lovely and a bargain price too.
Based on a family of four this is a 9 night holiday to Mykonos in the small area called Tinos, Agios Ioamis, apparently one of the nicest beaches.
It's a low key place and there are certainly cheaper places to stay (around £450 for a family of 4) but I picked this place as it has absolutely stunning reviews and ratings, infact I can't see a bad word said about it at all. The apartments are called Porto Vlastos and are just 5 minutes from the beach.
Flights with Easyjet departing on 2nd August returning 11th August hand luggage only.
Hotel - £593 @ booking.com (or any other agent as it's the same price, just see who is offering the most TCB - personally I'd go for Venere.com as they are offering a whopping 14% which off £593 could be around £90 back if the cashback tracks bringing this total holiday price under £1k!!!
Flights £437.20
Transfers £43.34 @ hoppa.com using code Vc22
Total £1073.45/£268.38pp

Yes I found them to be expensive but the cost of the whole holiday is still relatively cheap.
I paid £130 for 4 people and that includes breakfast, some also include a transfer from the airport so when you factor that in, it's not too bad.
I'm sure it will be worth it when there!
How old are your children? Mine will be 5 and 7

Mine are 11 & 8...I agree that cost of full holidays is still good. Apartment owner in Tinos suggested booking a car rent as the island is quite big. She has given me following details to book a car, it might be useful for you as well.

Yes I am also travelling with two kids. Your point is valid of booking one night in Mykonos and travelling next day. I emailed apartment owner and she will check tomorrow about timings of last boat/ferry...If no late transfer available, I will book one night in Mykonos (may be the same hotel you booked)...thank you for the very useful info. That was very useful.

Thanks for the info. I actually thought transfers included the ferry so it's useful to know thank you, the transfers with Hoppa didn't make it clear. For future I'll make sure I include them in a deal.

The hotel is on the island of Tinos, the flights are to Mykonos. You will need to get a ferry to Tinos from Mykonos. However, I'm not sure the ferry will be running late in the evening - after the flight lands.
You will need to book a transfer from the airport to the ferry port (New Port) Hope that clarifies things.
Still an excellent deal! I'm very happy with holiday booked :-)

That's the same flight as mine. I've looked into it and decided either ferries won't be running that late (don't forget we have to get from the airport to the ferry port) and then across to Tinos. There may be a delay on the flight etc and as I'm travelling with kids they might be tired etc so decided one night in Mykonos would be the best idea. I have booked Hotel Alex in Tourlas which is across from fhe Ferry port to Tinos. Should be able to book ferry tickets in March/April (don't leave it until you get there as it will be busy at that time of year). Are you travelling with children also?

If you booked the Hoppa transfers then they will ask for all flight information and hotel etc. The transfers I put on here were to Agios Ioamis so I really aren't sure about the ferry, I've never been to Mykonos so can't help with the location area. If you haven't got transfers I'd either contact the hotel to explore transfer options or head over to the Tripadvisor forum and ask a question over there as I'm sure you'll get helpful replies Tripadvisor for Mykonos

Thanks for replying...really appreciate.
Now my flight also lands 2020, and my hotel is the one OP mentioned (Tinos, Agios Ioamis)....so bit worried that a transport will be available at that time to reach hotel?

OP I am new in booking holidays. Can you please explain couple of things
1- Transfers: will i book from airport to porta vlastos? Or Agios loannis porto? Someone mention earlier that Tinos is further away from Mykonos....will this transfer cover the whole journey?
2- what is the nearest city to travel?
3- any suggested attraction for kids, anyone can suggest please
Thanks in advance

Hi
I have also booked this holiday.
I have booked a hotel in Mykonos for the first night as the flight lands in the evening. I will get a cab from the airport to the hotel (in Tourlas which is by the ferry port).
I will then book ferry tickets across to Tinos for the following morning.
I hope that helps.

I was surprised how cheap or at least not expensive as I'd heard when I went to Santorini last year. So would imagine this to be similar, love my Greek islands. Think I've had one poor meal in the last 5 years!!

Small island so I assume not much to do for kids, eating out will definitely be expensive so better find a room with at least breakfast..

Opps...I have booked now for my family and price is not refundable. I hope there is some attraction for kids

That's a big assumption. Eating out in Greece is generally pretty cheap compared to most of Europe. Mykonos might be relatively expensive compared to the mainland, but it's still not bad. Maybe £30 on average for a 2 person meal including a bottle of wine, just add a bit more for the kids.

This prices includes transfers with Hoppa from Mykonos to the hotel so I guess if you need to get a ferry that will be included too...

If you don't want to travel to London by plane/train why don't you look at connecting somewhere - Easyjet alone fly to JMK from loads of places in Europe - Milan, Paris, Venice, Geneva and Basel. Sure you could find a cheap flight from a northern airport to one of those cities and book two separate flights. Yep it's a bit of hassle, but I'm sure you could save a fortune! Just make sure you allow enough time to connect!

Just so you know - Tinos and Mykonos are different islands. They are nearby but you will have to catch a ferry (20-30min)

Make sure you save lots of spending money. Mykonos is very expensive when you're there ,compared to other Greek islands. Great price though .

Flights to Mykonos in August are £400pp! Infact any flights to Greece are £300 (unless you want Athens)! These are cheap flights and at this price is only London only on these dates. If you want it recommend booking flights asap before they go!
