I've never had any issues with the size of the check in luggage, and I use a suitcase which is slightly bigger than this one. I've been with Singapore, Etihad, Emirates, Lufthansa and Qatar Airlines without any problems whatsoever.

I see so many of suitcases these days with 4 protruding wheels/mini legs. don't these just break off when they go into the aircraft hold? and most carriers don't cover damage to wheels and handles. How do these wheels compare to the older style ones which only half came out of the suit case?

Nice case. I was sceptical about the wheels being sheered off, but okay so far. They are the same price at the Antler outlet stores too if that helps anyone?

That equates to nearly 20% of your luggage allowance just in the case alone. :confused:

If you stick to the decent brands, the wheels should be fine. As an example my Eminent suitcase has been on 23 long haul flights and the wheels have been fantastic.

Lol not been on holiday abroad for around 5 year having two toddlers,, we currently have no suitcases so it's off the list that we have mentally ,,hopefully when they grow up a bit I will get my life back tho ,
