Was keeping a casual eye on Wuaki's site for another Chromecast deal, as still on the lookout for a deal for folks.
Just noticed the above deal:
Chromecast 2
Mad Max Fury road in SD
Delivery in 4-7 days
Price has dropped to £22.99 (includes shipping) now though which i think is one of the cheapest deals so far?
Deal ends midnight 18th November...
Even if Mad Max is not your cup of tea, or you don't like it in SD, still pretty cheap for a new chromecast. Hopefully good for some of you...
It was very kind of the cinema to let you do that.

Lets be honest, no one cares about the movie, we just want the chromecast.
Fantastic price for the new chromecast 2 and highly recommend.
Also, for those who will inevitably come in saying "it offers no new features" - it doesn't, but then it doesn't need to as it already had a million and one features. What the upgrade does do is let it do these features far better and more reliably than the previous revision did.
I used to struggle using my chromecast via wifi from my laptop - had to use it from my PC via ethernet (i.e. ethernet to router then wifi to CC) and even then I got lagging and disconnects on a semi-regular basis. Since I've gotten the CC2 I've had no issues what so ever. Unsure if it is because of the additional antennae or due to using 5ghz wifi, but regardless it works like an absolute charm now.
Getting a second one for the living room now, cheers OP!

oddly the offer is still on their homepage, but clicking through from there as well comes up with the same error - the T&C's did state limited stock (300 ish I think), so maybe they have sold them all before the deadline! Looks like it has only just expired tho, assuming they don't get more stock..

Heat. Just signed up, and it asked for a shipping address, so I gave my parents address. Then it asked for credit-card details so I put them in, and now it's gone and made the purchase for me.... not sure why it didn't ask for a billing address. I worry that they have my credit card associated with my parents address - so it will fail future purchase attempts... not sure how the one for the offer succeeded! Now, can't find a way of updating my address details in the website.... what a load of crap.

I got a payment error too at first, but then just registered a new account via the home page rather than the Chromecast offer page and the payment went through. I'm guessing if you just log in first via the home page (top right hand corner) and then click on the Chromecast promo window when it appears on the home page, that would probably work too.

I can see where this deal is going to go already - lots of comments on how rubbish the film is blah blah blah. The film is IRRELEVANT here, the Chromecast here is £7 cheaper than anywhere else currently. So that makes it a deal with or without the film bundled. Voted HOT.
benlondon to bellboys
17 Nov 15#64
well no actually, the chromecast is £22.99, you can't just discount the price of the film, I'm sure a lot of pelple looking would have no intention of the buying the film, so how does that "make it a deal with or without thd film bundled" exactly.... strange economics

Really? I must have missed the epicness of it! Went to watch it in the cinema...They drove from point A to point B, changed their minds when they got to B so turned around and drove back to point A. Second half of the film was better as I knew we were in the home straight!
I'll credit it that some of the acting was good, as were some of the SFX, but I wouldn't rush to watch it again. This is a good deal mind so have some heat from me.

Cannot believe all the negative comments about the film here! I thought it was one of the best action films I've ever seen - giving Terminator 2 a run for its money. Exhilarating action, soundtrack, and all supremely directed without any Taken-style jumpcuts all over the shot. But this deal is cold in my opinion; the film deserves to be seen in HD.

Great overall deal, but gotta say the movie ain't good.Plenty of CGI, Action, Trucks, ...eye candy, but despite all this the film was pretty poor, especially for those old enough like me to remember the originals, so maybe if you hadn't seen those you'd have no reference to compare it to and would probably enjoy. Also the audio wasn't great, with the dialogue channel very unclear amongst all the effects which drown out everything, had to reconfigure the cinema setup to hear it at all.

I guess a lot of people are entertained by 2 hours of explosions. I like a bit of a story to go with my special effects. First half an hour or so was entertaining, but once I realised it was going nowhere it just became incredibly tedious. I couldn't wait to leave the cinema. I sold the old version. I personally had no problems with it. I upgraded to v2, it responds a lot faster if you've got ac wifi. The old version didn't have that. If you already have a v1 and it works okay for you, there's no real need to upgrade. But if you're new to chromecast get v2 for the few extra quid.
