A few days ago my smart watch started making problems and that is why I needed a new one and so I stumbled on this beauty.
This will be my first smartwatch with camera and the ability to hold a micro SIM card and a TF memory card wich will distinguish it from the other alternatives.

I bought one as a present for a 10 year old - he loves it - uses it as a daily journal to record his day and also records his parents so they can't backtrack on things they say. Very clever.

I got mine yesterday as I had wanted a watch that could act like a standalone phone.
I have not put a sim card in it yet but I have already found the bluetooth functions with my phone very useful. its quite nice to be able to see who is calling, email, sms, whatsapp etc without having to get my phone out. It is much more discrete too.
I bought from eBay for 15 quid from a UK seller and it seems worth it so far.

Brilliant watch, i use it to record bad customer service at places like McDonalds or Carphone warehouse, i then email head office of the respective company with footage included. By doing this i get the employee fired/disciplined and often get freebies to make up for the bad service.
Got £10 to spend at McDonalds when an employee was rude to me

I've had the original samsung gear for the past 2 years, the camera gets more use than the email/text checking etc.
Mostly taking a photo where I'd previously be writing a note.

I checked bluetooth specs on the various phones we use - Sony M2 says V4.0, A2DP, apt-x; Archos Neon 50C says V4.0 & Motorola G 4G LTE says V4.0, A2DP, LE.................... so this should be compatible with the watch?
Jimmyboy to Actionnotwords69

Happy to be corrected but think if version 4 compatible it will be compatible with devices using 3, 2 and 1 as well. I think the issue would be if a phone was V2 it would not be compatible with the newer version 3 onwards.

Easiest way is to go to http://www.gsmarena.com, type in your phone model and look down the spec list. It will say which Bluetooth version is has.

Blimey, you make me feel old.
I've worn a watch for most of my adult life which is where I naturally check the time. I grew up, when phones were the preserve of the front hall of the house, usually strictly guarded by parents.
It's brilliant, battery lasts several years and it tells the time.

Is the OS on the phone android? Like moto 360 and others. I have apps that require an apk to be run on the watch... Only the android OS can run it.

I would also mention that the watch requires the app BNotification to be installed on your phone to push notifications to the watch. I find that this keeps crashing with APK errors (since upgrading to lollipop I think) and I am always reloading the app and renewing the bluetooth connection. I'd be interested to know if anyone else is finding this. I've tried other notification apps but no joy.

pretty sure it has a generic removable strap... the camera is on the watch body, not the strap like the galaxy gear.

17 Nov 15#7
I did have one but returned it as you have to press a button each time you want to check the time, unlike some others that just by twisting your wrist it enables the watch. Apart from that it was ok, but slightly large, as they all seem to be at the moment.
dcdobson2 to tonysat
17 Nov 15#45
i find the battery obviously drains more if you have the "gesture" features on these things. i have a galaxy gear and turned the "move to wake" feature off as it wakes the screen when your simply moving your arm about when you dont intend to even look at your watch.

Just out of curiosity, would you be able to get an additional sim card from your provider so you could have one in your watch and one in your phone - Saves swapping over all the time ?
I have a Sony SW3, LG Gwatch amd a Moto360 but have gone for one just for a laugh i also bought a watch that was on here a few months back at £60 and it was huge i rooted it flashed the storage swap to SD and slung it in the cupboard it was huge. I don't sit at my desk for 24 hours a day. I use my Apple Watch most when walking to the station from work etc to check and respond to messages etc. Great when on the train reading my book and my phone is in my jacket / trouser pocket. A quick flick of the wrist and I can reply or keep up to date. Find it fabulous.

So you don't have to worry about carrying a phone? You could take this out jogging with a bluetooth headset, listen to mp3 or 3G radio, and make and receive calls and messages. There was once a time when people could leave the house without a phone, never mind a camera.
Also, you could test your metal by being out in public and social situations without the comfort blanket of a phone screen... make eye contact and crazy things like that
