I missed it the last time this was £39.99 with Amazon, got it this time with john Lewis.
I know a lot will say about using the Creative Cloud but unless you do a lot of photo editing is there a point in paying a yealy fee, get this you have it for as long as you want it!
I dont know how long this deal is on for as they are doing a price match!

Can I install it on both the Mac and Windows or is it one CD for one platform?

You could sync your high res images from PSE13 to Adobe Revel, their Cloud Storage and Sharing platform with great iOS/OSX apps. PSE14 didn't offer the sync, then last Friday Adobe closed Revel in favour of a substandard CC alternative.
I imagine PSE14 is pretty good and at this price great but can't help but thinking will phase it out at some point.

No you only need Internet connection for product activation and content download.

Might as well just use Photoshop Fix or whatever it's cold on iPhone (soon on Android).

I cant work out why people think a basic app for photo-retouching on a phone will do a better job than a Photo editing program on a PC or Mac??
But if thats what you want thats fine.

Photo editing on a 5" oversaturated phone screen with nonexistent colour accuracy and white balance, gamma through the roof, all done via clumsy touch interface.
Seems legit.

Without sounding naive...is this the main Photoshop software?
If it's not, is it still fine for all editing needs?

They are all downloads from PCWorld if you look at the product information.

There are 2 versions in PC World. One for £40 and the other for £34.99. First comes with 2 licences (2 devices). Cheaper one comes with 1 device license only.

Thanks for the reply. Seemed a bit risky taking a chance as the website didn't mention it. Just seen the PC world offer doing same price. It mentions 2 devices and then says "Licence: 1 user / lifetime". Does that mean I can install on both, but only one device can use it at a time?

If it is one licence you can still install on two devices just deactivate one before you use the second! bit of a faf but will still work!

Same price at Amazon plus you also get a further £25 off it bought with a digital camera from Amazon, not marketplace sellers).
I've had a Lumix TZ70 (£40 cashback) and Photoshop in my basket for a few days just waiting for one or both to drop in price.
