8 AA batteries from Argos eBay store with free delivery. I paid £7 the other day for 2 packs of 8 so I would consider this a good deal

Panasonic batteries are awful, no power on them to start with, I only buy Duracell now

I always pick up a batch at this price. Seem to do it everytime a new catalogue comes out. Yet they still keep selling them... weird!
Anyhow missed this deal just as well still have a small batch from last time.

8 Pack of Panasonic Ni-Cd available in B&M for £1.
Bought the Duracel Alkaline 8pk for £3 though (I always buy batteries based on weight as it seems a good indication of battery life).

You go by weight rather than best before date?! Never heard of that.
Why pay £3 for alkalines when Wilko sell them for 95p?
