Yet it will get smoking hot.........
People on here don't want a decent TV, they want stuff for next to nothing no matter how crap it is, so they can tell the people in the job centre queue that they have a 55" TV !!!

you know you're on to a winner when one of the selling points is "remote control with batteries"

They're not any old batteries though, they are "active energy" batteries which as everyone knows is absolutely essential for best picture quality. Sold.

Saw this in Germany this summer. Absolute crap; haven't seen such a poor picture quality in many years. My 16 year old Toshiba 50-inch projection tv has better picture than this....Not worth even £400( it is 229€ in Germany)

Looking at the Aussie reviews you need to add in the cost of an external FreeviewHD/Android/Nowtv to get a decent picture.

Has anyone managed to find out who makes Bauhn or is it in fact made by Bauhn. Is that pronounced Bourne as in Jason Bourne. Best be careful lol.
Looking at the australian revues this brand of tv appear to be very bad. It says it has a 3 year warranty on Aldi's website so if Bauhn have a decent R & D department you will get your 3 years. Personally this is £399.00 you can put towards a branded tv made by LG, Samsung or Sony. Most living rooms don't need a 55" tv anyway. I bought a 50" in January moving from a 47". The 50" is the same width but less in height than the old tv as new tv's have a small bezel. The screen is bigger obviously but I think 50" is too big for my room. Thank god I didn't buy the 55" which I nearly did. 55" is the same height as my old 47" so nearly nearly made a huge mistake. Fine if you have a big living room.

Yes but how long is your living room. Some bungalows have more floor space than a normal house.

A 64" TV will only cover the 13'8" wall of a chav. :smirk:

But my mum always told me never to watch the tv too close as it would damage my eyes. Is that just an old wives tale cos back then tv's were only like 20/22". I have one that size in my utility. You really got a 64" tv or you just winding me up. That would be ace for playing sniper games lol.

I guess with that size screen you can imagine you are involved in the action. Is it 3d lol.
This is not listed as current stock on Bauhn website and so must be old stock. The 4k above has HDMI 2.0. Might be best to see if that gets here before xmas as a similar price.

Picked up the 55". It looks awful on factory settings, so you'll need to tinker with the limited settings.
Flash tones are a little red, but but with these settings you've got a perfectly capable large panel. I wouldn't have it as a main unit, but to fill an extra room it's a bargain. Be sure to turn off Noise Reduction.

We bought this tv but what hard drive do we need to buy for the pvr to work? We spent 45 pound on a Toshiba hard drive yesterday and it dosent work ?

The USB port on the TV probably isn't providing enough power. That's assuming it (the hard drive) is actually working. Did you try it on a PC to make sure?

Don't use a hard drive use a memory stick they are cheap enough and use next to no power.

I bought one of these yesterday. i find the picture to be very good connected to sd sky channels and much better using my bluray player.
downfall is the sound, but a cheap soundbar has sorted this out.
id rate it 4 out of 5. would of given 5 stars if the remote batteries had of been duracell

Use a solid state usb hard drive formatted to FAT32 and it will work perfectly. I have two connected holding hundreds of films.
