Absolutely, unless DX doesn't know where its warehouses are: Q: Do you have warehouse in EU?
A: There is no EU Warehouse, we send EU Direct goods from world factory to EU (27 countries), and have cooperation with Post NL to make faster delivery.
All orders are shipped from China, not Europe.

Why? DX does not have any EU warehouse, so obviously no EU stock !

I tend to agree with you on the customer service of these companies. My phone is seriously great though..

I've got two Chinese phones, one ZTE one bought in 2013 and also the Doogee X5 Pro that I bought this week.
The ZTE one had terrible build quality, seriously it's really bad. The rom was also flashed badly too and overtime lots of dead pixels have developed.
Then there's the Doogee, which on the surface looked like it was better build quality but I've noticed that the touchscreen is dodgy and unresponsive. But my comment about gearbest etc was more based on the kinds of businesses they are rather than the phones they sell.
As for the phones they may look good on paper but if you're unfortunate enough to get a bad one, then sometimes it's tantamount to throwing your money in the bin, from what I've heard others say anyway, particularly with the elephone and the uni hammer.

A decent phone for £35? That depends a lot on your definition of decent.

Try having a look for Doogee X5. I doubt you'll get EU stock, but if you go through Gearbest you can get express shipping to arrive in 7 days. It'll be £44 all in.

Mlais m9 I have is mtk6592 and it's still awfull GPS reception, but I found that most of recent mtk phones have this problem sorted. Better to Google particular phone and check for GPS troubles. I rooted it and app called "mtk epo fix" help a lot, but location jumps from place to place. Avoid m9 by miles!

Just little note: if you'd like to use smartphone with MTK chipset for sat. navigation you're out of luck. Most of them will not get 3d gps fix within several minute minutes (lot od them not at all like my one) - google it before you order. I ordered Mlais M9+ phone few weeks ago and then found the problem of this chipset. For proper gps use go for snapdragon phone instead. Also cameras supposed to be 13mpx and 5mpx but in real I would not guess the main was better than 5mpx, so it's interpolated. Light sensor does not work and octacore cpu is more like dual core and lags a lot. Good as a spare phone. Pay Gearbest by paypal, when I opened case they refunded 60% of value of phone, but I have to add, it took several weeks and there was no initial reply from them in 5 days, untill I opened paypal case.

I bought a smartphone with an MTK recently and it gets a 3d lock within about 5 seconds. It doesn't surprise me though that gearshit are selling dodgy 'gear'

With respect, I had a Doogee DG310 and the nav was perfect on that. Quick hot or cold start and accurate to a couple of meters. I think those problems were only prevalent on the 6572 and before.
What was rubbish with that phone, and applies to this too is the max touches is 2. It doesn't seem bad until you try to touch type messages on it and then everything slows to an annoying mess.

Best pound for pound cheap phone right now in UK is the Vodafone Speed 6 for £50 and will probably go cheaper over sales, Yeah the specs are not as good but at least you know what you are getting and you have the support as backup , Also 4G and latest android really makes it good value.

good luck getting it, still waiting 7 weeks for an order from gearbest. takes them several days to answer any email. not the best company to buy from

Appreciate your comment, meant that the Doogee Y100phone was a similiar spec ( no 4g which may be a dealbreaker) to consider and still in EU warehouse so quick ,no tax delivery
GearBest reputation is questionable, yet there are as many positive reviews as negative. Coming from China warehouse? Don`t hold your breath for a pre-Christmas delivery... :smirk: Hot priced phone with THOSE specs though!
