All second hand cars are worthless, only buy a new one. Is that sentence true or not?
Ever noticed when a big chain sells something as refurbished bit is actually new. So they only have to honour a 1 year warranty. And the sales of goods act 1978!" Won't apply.

There is no Sale Of Goods Act now, got replaced in October 2015 with the 'Consumer Rights Act 2015' , what it entails and where it differs from the SOG I've no idea.

I bought a 'refurb' Samsung UE32J5500AK back in July and I think it was a customer return as it was pretty much brand new. It came in its original box (which was resealed), but everything inside looked new - remote and instructions were shrink wrapped, and the TV still had the clear plastic tape around the edges.
I wouldn't hesitate buying another refurb TV from Tesco outlet.

Are you implying all second hand cars are refurbished? :/

I meant that some stop working which means they're not refurbished just broken

I don't get why manufactures are getting dam stingy these days. They seem to sell re-badged Vestel TV. Best to get either a Sony or SAMSUNG TV. That way your guaranteed to get SAMSUNG panel heck even Sony uses SAMSUNG panel.
Panasonic seem to sell Vestel branded TVs. Why not just use AUO panels? Far better than Vestal.

I just got for £302 from Tesco Outlet eBay, the Sony KDL-42W706B Refur (not graded A B C). Basically customer return TV. Best TV for lowest input lag as I game a lot! FPS!!! Each move counts towards to a kill LOL. It will be arriving Tues/Wed and for those wanting to know about the condition, I will post an update if you want

I've dealt with Tesco Outlet before and it was a disaster.
Like a lot of people on here, the TV was badly packaged and arrived smashed as they placed it in a massive box with hardly any padding.
I will never deal with this shower again.
However some have been lucky with them, so if you willing to take a chance you might get a deal.
Here's the cracked screen:
The broken stand:
And the massive box they sent it in

Sorry to hear this, you clearly had a horrible experience with them. Can I ask what the outcome was?

Sorry to hear that. What did Tesco Outlet do? Should have sent a letter to head office they probably shower you with gifts LOL. I had a horrible experience with Amazon Warehouse deal. Purchased a Sony TV 55" they advertised it as pristine condition in original box with accessories. Arrived two days later... different box, entire screen on left side smashed also it had someone's wall brackets with screws attached all loose inside. No padding to the TV or stand.
However this is my first purchased from Tesco Outlet. Fingers crossed, touch wood.

I got a refurbed one a few months ago. Wasnt packaged great; the stand was packed pressing tight against the screen and was fortunate to not scratch screen. And it also had a very noticable dead pixel. 1080p doesnt look great on large screens of this size!!

It only has Freeview, no Freeview HD which is dated now by today's standards.
