It's a cliché to complain about cinema prices now, but honestly, £6 is still pretty bad.
The BOGOF/Orange Wednesday-style deals, Groupon and Cineworld's unlimited card prove that "regular" cinema prices are always artificially inflated.

I had got the same code error, you can book individual adult/child tickets but price slightly higher but at least you can use the code then

I'm trying to book two adults two kids and one teen, but it's not having it. I only take them when I get a decent discount as so expensive!

If you live in Dorchester the local cinema there, charges £2.50 for weekdays, and £3.50 at weekends!!! Went to see Spectre last night, better seats than a Odeon as well. They have 5 cinemas around the country and are hoping to expand.

you realise cinemas make very little from ticket sales, the vast majority goes back to the studio/distributor, they make most of their money on the food and drink

It's the same with too many things now:
Theme parks
Bowling
Paintball
Car insurance renewals that when you call them they suddenly find it cheaper
Sky TV where if you call up to cancel they can suddenly find it cheaper
Restaurants where you can get ridiculous discounts with vouchers
They are definitely on to us lot over here.....

Fair point, but I recall reading that they make little margin on tickets. Or maybe not anymore, since their undiscounted prices have got so high. I saw the Martian in 3D with a Meerkat code, still cost me £16 for 2 adults. At least you can sneak in to Premier seating at all the Odeons I've been to, no one seems to check unlike Vue.

Of COURSE they are! You really think it costs them anywhere near £15 a head to show a 2 hour movie in IMAX? Let's not forget £10 for popcorn and a drink..it's all about the entertainment factor of the big screen, and seeing a movie months before you can get it in decent quality anywhere else

Isn't Hunger Games released next Thursday? That's probably the reason why, though to be honest it probably wouldn't be included anyway knowing Odeon.

Well then, that's their problem. Thepiratebay's success says "film studios are too greedy and always have been" (and what demographic runs them - don't lie, you know what it is).

£2.72 off each ticket

I had a child ticket which 40% was taken off so not sure why it only showed £2.72 for me as it wouldn't be that for a child ticket. But it worked out the right price so I don't mind what the amount says on the promo part

If you subscribe to the Times online you get 2 for 1 Odeon tickets every weekend. If you regularly go to the odeon at weekends its worth costing.

Decent offer, but not as good as the previous ones they've done which were 50% off and BOGOF. I've seen Spectre so the only other movie I would go and see at the moment is Steve Jobs which isn't included in the offer either :disappointed:
