This holiday is based on two people flying from Gatwick to Cancun on the 8th December and returning on the 22nd December. You'll be staying over at the Oasis Smart, which has been rated 4/5 on TripAdvisor and is located in the very heart of Cancun, just five minutes away from Playa Blanca. The hotel can be easily reached from the airport by a bus and a taxi and is also just a ten minute drive away from Puerto Juarez, which offers a ferry service to the turquoise bays of Isla de Mujeres. Cancun is buzzing with activity whether it be in the beach side bars or in the water, where you can scuba dive, snorkel or even swim with dolphins! Mayan ruins such as the UNESCO heritage site Chichen Itza, Tulum and Ake are just a day trip away from the resort.

Went here a couple of times a few years ago and it was great, with some amazing places to visit. Thankfully they stopped letting people climb the Great pyramind at Chichen Itza, we thought it was dangerous when we climbed it, but didn't just how much till we read about people falling off it! Other events we wont forget were seeing a crocodile while waiting for a bus, then a full blown mariachi band playing on the bus itself!

Cancun is lovely but extremely expensive for everything, probably be better off going all inclusive unless you want to come back a stone lighter!

Shame it wasn't returning on the 27th - could have paid to send the In-Laws for Christmas.

Cancun is an amazing place BUT very expensive, as this is not all inclusive you have to factor in the cost of eating and drinking.
We went a few years ago and got to Jetski and paraglide as well as swimming with the Dolphins, two weeks is nowhere long enough to see everything.
Try and find where the locals eat and drink.
If you get the chance , visit the Moon Palace hotel, its a town in itself.
