may be of use to anyone that buys this stuff, just scanned for me at 2.99 for the big 3l bottle at Glasgow yoker shop.

Ooh might send Mr realslimkaty along to have a look, that's my local branch, hello neighbour! The website always tries to set Govan as my local one as it's closer as the crow flies, but over the river!

This stuff blocks up all your drains
Its cheap for a reason, tenants use this stuff and have to keep slopping this goop out of the blocked pipes and drainage system..I wouldn't recommend!

I would put money on that this will be terrible. Might be knocking off the Ariel packaging like they do with all their products but the goods are always cheap and poor quality. Much better products available in most supermarkets so personally I would waste your cash

Utter rubbish. Speaking from experience this is just as good as the so called premium brands and doesn't block my drains either!!

Shhhh it's ok, you don't have to justify spending more to us.
Oh wait you're trying to convince yourself aren't you?

I got some off lidl on there free gifts when you spend £20 a couple weeks ago. I don't normally use any of these liquids but this was very good, must say I thought it would be rubbish but it cleaned very well. Hot given

I use this all the time and it's fab! As a mum of 3 I have tried many! And the more expensive ones don't do any different. Heat from me!

I'd been using Ariel for the last 20 years and no matter what else I'd try, nothing came close. This is a very close second, and I find it does a great job. Given the price difference, I end up buying thia one more frequently now. Totally recommend. From a very fussy user.

Got a bottle, bf said that it's only £3.19 on the shelf label anyway, but did scan at £2.99. Just enjoyed some cut price beef jerky too and have put away some lovely hyacinth bulbs with vases and an amaryllis for part of mum's Christmas!

You may remember 'jase99' from the lidl/aldi threads.adamcb is a new version- finding ways to denigrate aldi/lidl products where he can.
P's, he has not reached the amount of posting that jase used to manage.

Lidl is fab! I spent years shopping in asda and lidl is far better and I save pennies too

Not sure about washing liquid blocking drains, but I do know constantly using liquid increases the chances of mould, which is why I alternate with washing powder (which has the bleaching agent in it). Liquid for colours, powder for whites, for me.

Yrs ago I had an old machine which developed a bad smell due to me using Costco bargain Ariel liquid all the time. Lesson learned - I run my machine on 90c once a month now, empty but with soda crystals in the drawer and drum. Keeps it fresh now. I think part of the problem is that people generally wash on low temperatures now, but I'm an old fuddy duddy and do towels and bedding on 60 all the time, which helps.

philipgregson5839 what are you on about? Your comment doesn't even seem to refer to my comments?
I again say it washed my cloths fine and I can have that opinion if I want. I also do not normally by liquids but I would use this especially if they give it free as they did in Scotland while they ran their card trials. What bet are you on about? I think you should read what's posted and what you reply!
