Don't think anyone calls £30 a few quid, at almost 1/4 off the new 3ds price, people will still buy it

Well played it was 14.99 but i did see this a while back but was oos. Tried to sell my old 3ds but no one would have it without the charger. Seems now in stock at all 4 branches near me...

If anyone really wants to invest in an old 3DS XL model to put away for future resale, the only one I can see that would guarantee any form of investment is the green Yoshi Limited Edition XL http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=yoshi+3ds+xl

A bit more risky is the Mario & Luigi Dream Team 3DS XL or the Luigi themed 3DS XL limited edition models, they might yield a decent return.

The old xl is worth pennies 2nd hand now, no one will touch it unless you sell them a charger with it. The new one holds its value well.

Argue with me all you like nearly every post in this thread has advised the new 3ds over this.

Not that amazing as its old technology being a 1st gen 3DS XL. The newer 2nd gen 3DS XL has improved battery chemistry, meaning it holds its charge better and longer battery life. The 2nd gen also is Amiibo compatible without having to buy extra bits.

To be honest this isnt even the limited edition pokemon console with the graphics on .. Yes good price but apart from packaging this is a standard 3ds xl

I wouldn't dare touch this with the new 3ds out now... dunno why people would wanna be behind on the latest tech to save a couple of quid.

The new 3ds is much better alround.

30 quid is couple quid when buying a console. The noggin thing on the new 3ds works with loads of 3ds games and changes the way you play them. And it will hold its value which will actually save you money when youre ready to sell it/part ex to upgrade.

If youre not bothered about that then get one for 50 quid off gumtree....

Youll still need to buy a charger which is like 10-15 quid.

This will be worth more in a few uyears but sagging will most likely send it in a cheap jiffy bag and damage the box

I've just got the new 3ds xl from amazon bundled with A for £159. I know the game isn't everyone's cup of tea but it's cheap for the console and game

I have old and new. In comparison its night and day. Old 3d is terrible you will turnoff 3d within minutes. New 3d is class. Zelda is great. If your not bothered about 3d tho id get this and turn it off.

It is a tough call...
I'm half tempted to just buy it and put it away for a few years.
Will surely go up in value.
Alternately if you're buying to play now, I hear the latest 3DS XL is far better and not bundles more money...

You're probably right there. I can't just buy one on impulse right now though. I just thought at this price I could consider upgrading my middle sons dsi for this.
