I had a look last time this was on offer, as I wanted 2 of the items and thought a freebie as a 3rd. Ended up buying the 2 from Amazon as it was cheaper and not just buying a random item as the so called freebie.

Argos have serious technology issues. Website slow, their in store tablets normally off-line. Products not in stock etc..,

They also have a lot of toys at discounted prices. Compared against Amazon and Tesco and they are about the same so with the 3 for 2 you are getting a great deal.

Check the prices too as it's not as good a deal as you think. They always increase the prices of the toys by a few quid during these offer weekend. For example the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens Battle Action Millennium Falcon" was £100 quid just before midnight last night. This morning it's £120.

So they make you think that you are getting essentially 1/3 off but yesterday you could buy 3 of those for £270 with the £10 off voucher offer. Today you will get 3 for £240. Still a saving of £30 but it's not the 1/3 off offer it appears to be

Cannot see this being mentioned already but be careful when adding multiple items to basket - the 3 for 2 discount applies to the cheapest items of the whole basket and not of the same item. I wanted 3qty of 2 different items priced differently and it took off the 3 cheapest. Buy each of the 3 items in turn and higher discount will come off. Whilst this lower price overall is a standard thing it works for Argos as they want you to spend £50 for free same day delivery and to max the £50 on lower ticket items you will add more things per order when in fact your essentially paying them a delivery fee by not saving as much as you could.

I find most of the toys have had the prices increased before these so called sales! Its a CON, if it is on sale then its supposed to have been that price from day one, if not really a sale or offer...

Went to the Argos store and although they priced the kidizoom smartwatches at £34.99 they gave me yesterdays price of £29.99 and all included in the 3 for 2. Spent £103 for 6 items which would normally have been £150. :innocent:

Picked up 3 sets for myself and 2 work colleagues.... £33.33 each..bargain...

Went elsewhere as when I finally got back on to the site my items were out of stock. Only ended up paying around £1 or so more than I would have in Argos.

i went into argos today and what they dont tell you is that they will price match as well , i knew the 3 items i wanted for my son for xmas looked around and found all 3 much cheaper elsewhere, so i went into argos showed them and they agreed to match and got on 3 for 2 ended up paying £150 for 2 £100 lego sets and 1 £130 set

There is no conspiracy when it comes to items being OOS! Lots of stores will have items in stock but reserved, many of which I imagine won't be collected, the sooner Argos require prepayment the better.

Went today argued for 20 mins that price match was with the 2for3 according to fb was told they will accept it this time but will remove this offer!! Also told they dont price match to amazon but did this last time for me.

So my advise would be buy all you can today because ita gonna get changed.

Argos normally honour the price you reserved at if you collect within your reservation time. Just give them your reservation number and tell what price you reserved at and they will check and honour that price. It's in their t & c's.

Just to make sure.......I have paid for my order by FastTrack but will not pick it up til next week - I will still be given my order even though 3 for 2 will have ended as I have already paid...correct? Thanks!
