Clearly stolen from the set of a 60s sci-fi...could be worth a few quid mind.

A good price, but all fan heaters are very expensive to run and you need to be careful when using them. It's better to invest in central heating using a modern gas boiler.

Good for warming up a room quickly when you get up or arrive home, before the central heating kicks in.

I don't have a spare £7000 for gas installation and central heating but I do have £6.59 for this which I ordered yesterday.

Great post but people always worry about the efficiency of these.

Use this and your central heating won't kick in because the room thermostat will be reading high temps.

Good for camping too. Same as the Argos basic but cheaper

Camping? Where you getting 1-2kW from when camping?

Anyone have a rough idea what these cost to run per hour?

At the 1 kW setting its gonna cost whatever your electric supplier charges per kWh times the number of hours used ie if you get charged 14p per kWh then 2 hours use is gonna cost 28p and at the 2 kW setting its gonna cost twice as much per hour! ( actually it may very well cost slightly LESS than these figures as the heater will have a thermostat and when this is satisified ie the heater thinks the room is hot enough it will switch off the heater element, but the fan may carry on or not depending on design)

You should be prepared for the time when your tent catches fire.

I bought one of these from CPC a few weeks ago and it never turned on. And I can't be bothered to return it. First world problems.

I bought an extension lead from there, and surge was not working, It was about the same price as this, so i called them, and they sent a free replacement.
